About the Company:
The Quality Council of India (QCI) was established in 1997 as a joint initiative by the Government of India and Indian industry, represented by ASSOCHAM, CII, and FICCI. QCI is registered as a not-for-profit society with the objective of establishing and operating a national accreditation structure and promoting quality through the National Quality Campaign. The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, is the nodal ministry for QCI.
About the Role:
We are looking for a Technology Project Manager to own end-to-end technology projects at QCI, from requirements and solution design through development, testing, deployment and production stabilisation. The role involves coordinating technical teams and vendors, managing Agile delivery, architecture, APIs, databases, releases and risks, while driving AI, automation and technology-led process improvements across QCI.
Responsibilities:
- Own technology projects end-to-end, from requirement gathering and solution design through development, testing, deployment and production stabilisation.
- Understand and participate in discussions related to system architecture, application design, APIs, databases, integrations, cloud infrastructure and security.
- Translate business and operational requirements into explicit technical requirements and actionable development plans.
- Work closely with developers and technical teams to define priorities, resolve dependencies and ensure timely delivery.
- Review proposed technical solutions and identify risks related to scalability, performance, security, maintainability and cost.
- Manage project plans, milestones, releases, dependencies, risks and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external technology vendors to ensure timely and quality delivery.
- Drive Agile/Scrum practices, sprint planning, backlog prioritisation and release management.
- Coordinate UAT and production releases and ensure timely resolution of post-release issues.
Qualifications:
- B.Tech./B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, or a related discipline, OR
- MCA/MCM or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Computer Applications, Information Technology, Management, or a related field.
Required Skills:
- Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Application and system architecture
- Web applications and enterprise portals
- Relational databases and data flows
- Cloud platforms, preferably AWS
- Application security and performance
- Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Software testing and quality assurance
- Production deployment and release management
Preferred Skills:
- 6–10 years of experience in technology/software delivery.
- Experience managing or leading software applications, websites, portals or enterprise technology projects.
- Experience working directly with developers and technical teams.
- Experience managing project timelines, dependencies, risks and stakeholders.
- Experience working with external technology vendors/partners is desirable.
