Scope of Role The PMO Engineer will support project teams in ensuring effective coordination, documentation, governance, and delivery of key automotive programs. The role requires close collaboration with Full Vehicle Program Leaders, Module Leaders, Lead Engineers, and cross-functional teams to monitor project milestones, releases, commodity timing, and overall program delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide PMO and administrative support to Project Managers, Engineering Teams, and Program Leaders.
- Work closely with Full Vehicle Program Leaders, Module Leaders, and Lead Engineers to understand technical and program requirements.
- Manage release planning, commodity timing, and program delivery activities.
- Track and report release status at project gateways.
- Maintain project schedules, trackers, reports, presentations, and other project documentation.
- Monitor project milestones, deliverables, risks, and action items.
- Coordinate project meetings and prepare agendas, minutes of meetings, and action trackers.
- Ensure adherence to established project governance processes and frameworks.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Sourcing.
- Support BOM alignment and cost alignment activities.
- Support commodity planning and sourcing activities.
- Assist in onboarding new project team members and ensure access to required documentation and systems.
- Support Gateway (GW) and release planning activities for successful program delivery.
- Coordinate effectively with European customers and global/multi-site teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- 6 TO 10 years of relevant experience in PMO / Project Management / Program Management.
- Automotive industry experience with an OEM, Tier 1, or Tier 2 supplier is essential.
- Solid knowledge of automotive program delivery and project management processes.
- Experience in Release Planning and Gateway Management.
- Experience with Commodity Planning, Sourcing, BOM, and Cost Alignment.
- Proficiency in JIRA, PULSE, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong communication, coordination, organization, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Experience working in a global, multi-site project environment.
- Understanding of automotive quality standards and processes.
- Willingness to travel based on project requirements.
