Job Position: PRODUCTION MANAGER

Job Experience: Experience in elevator/escalator manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, sheet metal industries, or industrial production.

Strong knowledge of production planning and manufacturing processes.

Knowledge of fabrication, welding, machining, assembly, electrical/control-panel assembly, and testing. Understanding of applicable elevator/escalator safety and quality standards.

Job Qualification: Diploma/B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical, Production, Industrial.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Production Planning & Control

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with Planning, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Engineering, and Dispatch teams to ensure smooth production flow.
- Monitor production against planned targets and take corrective action for delays.
- Optimize production capacity, manpower, machines, and working hours.

Manpower Management

- Plan manpower requirements according to production volume.
- Allocate operators, technicians, supervisors, and contract workers effectively.
- Monitor productivity and attendance.
- Identify skill gaps and arrange training and skill development.

Quality Management

- Work closely with the Quality team to maintain product quality and reduce defects/rework.
- Ensure compliance with approved specifications, inspection plans, and quality procedures.
- Analyze recurring production defects and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain proper production and inspection records.

Safety & Compliance

- Ensure strict compliance with plant safety procedures.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox meetings.
- Promote secure working practices for welding, fabrication, machining, painting, electrical assembly, material handling, and testing.
- Investigate production-related accidents/incidents and implement preventive measures.

Machine & Equipment Management

- Coordinate with Maintenance to ensure availability and reliability of production equipment.




- Monitor machine downtime and implement measures to reduce breakdowns.
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed.
- Improve utilization of machines, tools, fixtures, and production facilities.

Material Management

- Coordinate with Stores and Purchase to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
- Monitor material shortages affecting production.
- Reduce material wastage, damage, and excess consumption.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of production materials.

Productivity & Cost Control

- Monitor production KPIs such as:
- Production output
- OEE
- Rejection and rework
- Machine downtime
- Labour utilization
- Production cost
- On-time completion
- Identify bottlenecks and implement productivity improvement measures.
- Reduce scrap, rework, overtime, and manufacturing costs.

Process Improvement

- Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, visual management, and other continuous-improvement practices.
- Improve production layouts and material flow.
- Reduce cycle time and unnecessary movement.
- Develop standardized work procedures and improve line balancing.

Testing & Final Assembly

- Ensure proper assembly and testing of elevator/escalator units before dispatch.
- Coordinate with Quality and Engineering for functional and performance testing.
- Ensure all production-related punch points are closed before dispatch.

Reporting & Documentation

- Prepare daily/monthly production reports.
- Track production achievement against targets.
- Report downtime, rejection, rework, productivity, manpower, and material issues to management.
- Participate in management review meetings and provide improvement plans.

Elevators candidates are preferred & near by !!! Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
