Key Responsibilities :

· Plant Production Management: Take complete ownership of plant-floor operations, from machine erection and commissioning through validation trials and steady-state production.

· Production Planning & Scheduling: Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production plans based on order requirements and machine availability. Plan batch sequences to minimize changeover time and material loss.

· Rubber Processing: Manage production activities involving rubber sheeting, belting and comparable flat-rubber products, with a robust focus on process consistency, thickness and quality.

· Rubber Calendaring & Mixing: Manage calendaring and mixing operations, including roll settings, temperature control, sheet thickness, gauge consistency and batch-to-batch repeatability.

· Internal Mixing: Operate and supervise internal mixer batch cycles, including loading sequence, mixing time, dump temperature and discharge consistency.

· Rubber Compounding: Execute compound recipes accurately to specification, control material weighing and dispersion, and identify compound-related defects. Ensure production follows the approved formulation.

· Lathe & Machining: Understand lathe and machining operations supporting in-house grinding, trimming and tooling activities, while ensuring finishing operations are carried out accurately.

· Engineering & Process Control: Apply engineering fundamentals to machine settings, process parameters and fault diagnosis rather than relying only on operator experience.

· Production Coordination: Coordinate with Sales on order priorities and committed dates,

and with Dispatch and Packaging teams on dispatch readiness. Identify and communicate potential delays at an early stage.

· CAPA Management: Investigate internal rejections and customer complaints, identify root causes, assign corrective and preventive actions and verify their effectiveness.

· Inventory & FIFO Management: Ensure FIFO is followed for raw rubber, chemicals and compounded stock. Monitor material shelf life and help prevent quality loss due to ageing materials.

· Production Efficiency: Monitor material yield, scrap and rework, improve machine utilization and reduce wastage per meter of production.

· Compliance & Safety: Ensure shop-floor activities follow applicable statutory, safety and environmental requirements and support factory license and inspection readiness.

· Production SOPs: Prepare, issue and maintain SOPs for production processes. Train operators on the required procedures and monitor adherence on the shop floor.

· Maintenance Coordination: Work closely with the Maintenance Engineer on preventive maintenance schedules, breakdown priorities and critical spares. Understand machine behavior well enough to distinguish process issues from equipment problems.

· Excel & ERP: Maintain production data in Excel and ERP systems and prepare daily production, rejection and consumption reports.

· Technical Training: Develop and maintain a technical training calendar for supervisors and operators, including on-machine training and periodic skill assessments.

· Data Interpretation & Audit: Review production and quality data to identify trends, process deviations and areas for improvement. Verify the accuracy of shop-floor records.

· Continuous Improvement: Apply structured improvement methods such as Kaizen and Six Sigma to reduce rejection, cycle time and downtime, with measurable improvement targets.

· Shift Management: Manage supervisors and operators across shifts, set clear expectations, maintain discipline consistently and ensure the same production standards are followed across shifts.

· Team Management: Manage shop-floor employees, ensure optimum utilization of manpower and resources, and drive employee performance.

· Equipment Knowledge: Maintain practical operating knowledge of mixers, calendars, curing and vulcanizing equipment and grinding machines.

· Rubber Process Equipment: Understand the operating principles, critical settings and common failure modes of rubber processing machinery.

· Plant-Level Ownership: Build a production system that runs according to defined standards without depending on the promoters being present every day.

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
