Job Summary
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to support the production, assembly, integration, testing, and certification/clearance activities of mechanical components and systems used in airborne and aerospace applications. The role requires close coordination with internal engineering, production, quality, testing, and external regulatory/certification authorities to ensure project requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute mechanical production and assembly activities for airborne/aerospace systems.
- Perform mechanical assembly, installation, alignment, integration, and inspection of components and sub-assemblies.
- Ensure production activities comply with approved engineering drawings, specifications, processes, and applicable aerospace requirements.
- Coordinate with Design, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Testing, and Project teams to resolve production and technical issues.
- Interface and coordinate with DGAQA, CEMILAC, RCMA, and other relevant regulatory/certification authorities for project-related requirements, inspections, documentation, clarifications, and clearances.
- Facilitate technical discussions with DGAQA/CEMILAC/RCMA and ensure necessary compliance, observations, and documentation are addressed for obtaining project clearances.
- Coordinate with internal engineering and quality teams to provide required technical documents, drawings, test reports, inspection records, and compliance evidence to the concerned authorities.
- Support authority inspections, audits, reviews, demonstrations, and acceptance activities as applicable to the project.
- Track certification/clearance-related observations and coordinate timely closure of identified issues.
- Perform dimensional inspection and support first-article and in-process inspection activities.
- Identify manufacturing defects, assembly issues, and process deviations and support corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare and maintain production documentation, inspection records, assembly reports, compliance documents, and work instructions.
- Support root-cause analysis and continuous improvement of manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, identification, and traceability of aerospace components and materials.
- Support qualification, functional testing, environmental testing, and system-level integration activities as required.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety, quality, configuration-control, and aerospace production procedures.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in airborne structures, flight hardware, UAV/drone systems, or aerospace mechanical assemblies.
- Knowledge of aerospace/defence certification and approval processes.
- Experience in technical reviews, inspections, audits, and compliance documentation.
- Experience with configuration management and engineering change processes.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with customers, certification authorities, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
- Accurate technical documentation and traceability.
- Should be comfortable travelling to vendors and Peenya (Production house) on regular basis
- Successful completion of required project clearances and acceptance activities.
- Should not have any restrictions to visit outside Bengaluru on project basis.
- Should have a transparent character as our work is pro defence sector
Pay: From ₹365,000.00 per year
