Position Summary

This role acts as a cross-product manager, ensuring alignment, integration, and value realization across interconnected SAP and non-SAP product domains.

This role requires you to lead a global, multicultural team to deliver integrated digital processes for BASF’s global quality and manufacturing community.

The position balances business priorities, regulatory and compliance requirements, technology strategy, operational excellence, and innovation in a complex global manufacturing environment.

In a step-by-step approach, this role takes over the global responsibility for the end-to-end strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management of the global portfolio of digital products supporting Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC).

The role partners closely with Business, Supply Chain, Digital, Enterprise Architecture, and Engineering teams to drive digital transformation initiatives, including SAP S/4HANA migration, manufacturing digitalization, legacy modernization, and data-driven quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- In a first step, you are leading a cross-functional team within our hub, with other specific SAP domain product managers (e.g. NCM, QA/QC, Manufacturing, Warehouse Management etc.) in a global matrix organization

- In a step-by-step approach, you will take over the responsibility of the global Quality Assurance & Quality Control product team
- You lead through influence in a global, multicultural, cross functional matrix organization. You mentor Product Owners, support the development of global team members and ensure they work as an integrated global DevOps team.

You are responsible for resource planning and skill development to enable end to end product delivery





- Besides supporting the implementation within S/4 (respectively the migration from R3) you are also establishing the structures for the Application Support Management (incident management, work & change requests, etc.) for the Quality, NCM and Manufacturing area together with other product managers within and outside this domain
- Define and own the product vision, strategy, and multi year roadmap for Quality Assurance & Quality Control digital products.

This includes driving portfolio decisions balancing business value, compliance, operational stability, innovation, and cost efficiency as well as managing the full product lifecycle from ideation and delivery to adoption, optimization, and decommissioning. Scope includes:

- SAP Quality Management (SAP QM)
- Laboratory and QA/QC systems (including LIMS integrations)

- Certificates of Analysis (CoA) and document driven quality processes
- AI/ML/OCR enabled quality digitalization
- Data, reporting, and analytics for quality operations.
- Drive innovation in automation, standardization, analytics, and digital quality solutions.

- You serve as strategic partner across Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Technology stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences or related field.




- 10+ years in Product Management, Digital Products or Enterprise Transformation, with at least 2 prior leadership roles in a global context and experience in leading developer teams and service & support organizations.
- Experience in managing SAP delivery, preferably related to quality business processes based on SAP QM.
- Experience managing interconnected product portfolios or cross-product ecosystems.
- Strong Agile product management and stakeholder leadership experience.
- Creative and inspiring working style with a solid focus on innovation as well as excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA transformation.
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Compliance and MCM processes.
- Experience with Product Operating Models and portfolio management.
- Exposure to AI/ML, automation and advanced analytics.
- Agile/Product certifications preferred.
