?️ About the Role

As Product Lead – AI Research & Innovation at XLSCOUT (Mohali Campus), you'll own the vision, strategy, and delivery of our AI-powered IP products. You'll lead research-driven initiatives with R&D;, guide a team of product and research associates, and work with engineering, marketing, and sales to build industry-leading solutions for licensing, infringement analysis, SEP monitoring, and patent landscaping.

Your Responsibilities

- Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI Research & Innovation initiatives, in line with business goals.
- Lead key projects with R&D; from ideation through research, design, and launch.
- Build and drive research programs that apply the latest developments in AI and IP to improve existing products and explore new opportunities.
- Lead brainstorming and design of cutting-edge, automated solutions for licensing and infringement analysis, SEP monitoring, and patent taxonomy/categorization for landscape analysis.
- Set project goals, priorities, and success metrics with the Marketing, Sales, and leadership teams.
- Lead competitor and market analysis to keep XLSCOUT ahead in functionality and positioning.
- Prepare and present detailed roadmaps for new product features to internal stakeholders and leadership.
- Define and review input-to-output logic and system flows, and work with the front-end and back-end development teams to deliver them.
- Oversee user stories and feature specifications, making sure they are clear, detailed, and ready for development.
- Plan and run sprints with the team, track progress, and remove blockers so features ship on time.
- Set documentation standards and make sure the logic, algorithms, and workflows behind each feature are well documented.
- Mentor and guide associates and senior associates in the team, building strong IP, research, and product skills.
- Act as the escalation point for customer product issues in your area, and turn feedback into product improvements.
- Analyze customer usage and product metrics to guide decisions and prioritization.
- Represent XLSCOUT at industry conferences and events as a thought leader on AI in IP.

Jitin Talwar – Founder & AI/IP Expert

Jitin is a visionary leader in AI-driven IP intelligence, with a distinguished academic and professional background. He is a Chevening Gurukul Fellow at the University of Oxford, where he deepened his expertise in business strategy, innovation, and emerging technologies.

His academic background spans engineering, law, and strategic business thinking. Driven by a passion for bringing AI into the legal and intellectual property landscape, Jitin has led major advances in patent analytics. As the driving force behind XLSCOUT, he pioneered the use of AI and NLP in IP research, helping organizations worldwide accelerate innovation and streamline their IP strategies.

Sandeep Singh Kohli – AI & Data Science Leader

Sandeep studied Artificial Intelligence at the University of Toronto, specializing in Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Reinforcement Learning, and Large Language Models (LLMs). He also holds a B.Tech from Kurukshetra University.

At XLSCOUT, Sandeep has played a key role in building AI-powered patent intelligence tools, using transformers, embeddings, and knowledge graphs to improve IP research and patent analysis. His expertise in fine-tuning LLMs and automating patent search workflows helps global R&D; teams make data-driven innovation decisions.

Manish Verma – Senior Product Manager, Research & Development

Manish holds a Bachelor's degree from Lovely Professional University and has completed HMX Fundamentals from Harvard Medical School. He began his career in research as an intern at ArrayGen Technologies, developing strategies to identify genetic variations.

He built deep IP expertise at TT Consultants (2019–2023), moving up from Junior Patent Analyst to Senior Patent Research Analyst. There he specialized in biomedical engineering and bioinformatics, led patentability, infringement, and landscape analyses across life sciences, environmental, and sustainable technologies, and supported business development. At XLSCOUT, Manish has grown from Product Manager to Senior Product Manager in R&D;, where he leads innovation and product strategy for AI-powered IP analytics.

He turns real-world patent research workflows into intelligent product features.

Rajan Goyal – Product Manager





Rajan holds a B.Tech from Chandigarh College of Engineering & Technology, Panjab University. He started his career at TT Consultants (2019–2022), growing from Patent Analyst to Senior Patent Analyst and gaining hands-on experience in patent search and analytics.

He joined XLSCOUT as an Associate Product Manager in 2023 and is now a Product Manager, leading in-depth product research and development initiatives. With a background that bridges patent analysis and product management, Rajan helps make XLSCOUT's AI-driven tools practical, accurate, and aligned with how IP professionals actually work.

- Strong expertise in landscape analysis and patent analytics use cases.
- Experience defining product roadmaps, writing user stories, and planning sprints with development teams.
- Logical skills to understand backend algorithms and system flows.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong eye for detail.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and client-handling skills.
- Excellent comprehension and presentation skills.

Preferred Haves:

- BE/B.Tech in any discipline.
- Strong understanding of intellectual property.
- Experience leading client conversations and product demos.
- Experience mentoring or managing team members.

Nice To Haves:

- Hands-on exposure to SEP (Standard Essential Patent) monitoring and patent taxonomy/categorization.
- Experience with AI/NLP-based products or startups.
- Experience speaking at or representing a company at industry conferences.
