Role: Recent Product Development Head - Geology Information System (GIS) Domain

Responsibilities:

- Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of new GIS products and solutions for the geology information system domain.
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and potential gaps in the market.
- Collaborate with software developers, geologists, and other experts to define product requirements and specifications.
- Create and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure on-time and within-budget product delivery.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in geospatial technology and geology-related software applications.
- Explore opportunities for integrating emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cloud computing, into GIS solutions.
- Champion a culture of innovation within the product development team.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including geologists, software engineers, quality assurance, and marketing to ensure seamless product development and launch.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration to facilitate the exchange of ideas and information.




- Oversee the testing and quality assurance process to ensure that GIS products meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations.
- Implement continuous improvement measures to enhance product quality.
- Plan and execute product launches, including marketing campaigns, training materials, and customer support strategies.
- Provide technical expertise and support to customers and internal teams during product implementation and post-launch phases.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of product development processes, features, and changes.
- Prepare regular progress reports and presentations for senior management.

Desired Skills:

- Proven experience (10+ years) in product development within the Geology Information System (GIS) domain.
- Solid knowledge of geospatial technology, GIS software, and geology-related applications.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies in GIS, such as UML, SDLC, AI, ML, and cloud-based solutions is a must
