We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Principal Electrical Engineer with 15+ years of hands-on experience to spearhead electrical engineering activities for high-stakes onshore and offshore Oil &

- Gas projects. In this leadership role, you will drive technical excellence, oversee complex power system studies, manage multidisciplinary coordination, and mentor engineering teams to ensure flawless project delivery from concept to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

- Engineering Leadership: Lead, direct, and manage electrical engineering teams across multiple onshore and offshore Oil &
- Gas project lifecycles.

- System Design &

- Review:

Oversee and approve comprehensive electrical system designs covering power generation, high/medium/low voltage distribution, and protection philosophies.

- Advanced Power System Studies: Perform and validate complex Load Flow, Short Circuit, Motor Starting, Harmonic Analysis, Transient Stability, Arc Flash, and Protection Coordination studies.

- Software Utilization: Leverage industry-standard power system analysis software including ETAP and DIgSILENT.

- Compliance &

- Standards:

Ensure strict adherence to international and industry standards such as IEC, IEEE, NEC, API, and client-specific design criteria.

- Documentation &

- Deliverables:

Review and approve technical specifications, datasheets, sizing calculations, equipment layouts, and formal engineering reports.

- Cross-Functional Coordination:



Act as the primary technical point of contact, collaborating seamlessly with Project Managers, clients, vendors, subcontractors, and other engineering disciplines (Process, Piping, Instrumentation, Mechanical).

- Mentorship &

- Development:

Provide technical guidance, training, and career mentorship to junior and mid-level electrical engineers and designers.

- Safety &

- Risk Management:

Actively participate in HAZOP, SIL, risk assessments, constructability reviews, and safety audits.

- Project Execution Support: Contribute to project schedule optimization, budget management, resource planning, and technical procurement activities.

Required Qualifications &

- Experience

- Education: Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (or a closely related discipline)
- Masters degree or professional engineering licensure is a solid plus.

- Experience: 15+ years of dedicated experience in the Oil &

- Gas sector, with proven expertise in both Offshore (platforms, FPSOs) and Onshore (refineries, petrochemical plants, LNG) projects.

- Technical Proficiencies: Deep expertise in hazardous area classification, electrical equipment specification (switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS, cables), and offshore power systems.

- Automation &

- Control:

Sound working knowledge of SCADA, PLC, and DCS integration with electrical systems.
