Role & responsibilities

- Advanced PowerShell Expertise (Minimum 4 Years): Proven, hands-on experience in complex PowerShell scripting and automation, including advanced functions, modules, and error handling.
- Infrastructure Modules: Expertise in leveraging and extending built-in PowerShell modules for managing Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and IIS.
- Windows and Infrastructure Mastery: Strong practical knowledge of Windows Server environments, troubleshooting, and in-depth understanding of Active Directory and foundational infrastructure services.
- Design and Implement Windows OS Automation:
- Develop PowerShell DSC (Desired State Configuration) or other Infrastructure as a Code scripts to automate the entire lifecycle of Windows Server OS deployment, configuration, and hardening, ensuring security baselines are consistently applied.
- Automate OS-level tasks such as patch management, event log analysis, and performance monitoring setup using scheduled PowerShell scripts and modules.
- Active Directory (AD) Automation Engineering:
- Engineer advanced PowerShell scripts for mass provisioning, modification, and de-provisioning of AD users, groups, and OUs via integrated systems (e.g., HR feeds).
- Automate the creation, linking, management, and auditing of Group Policy Objects (GPO) to enforce system configuration standards consistently across the domain.
- Develop automation to deploy, configure, and monitor Domain Controllers (DCs), including tasks like promotion, demotion, and replication health checks.

- Network Service Automation (DHCP/DNS)
- Automate the configuration and management of DHCP scopes, reservations, failover setups, and IP address lifecycle using PowerShell modules.
- Script the creation, modification, and auditing of DNS records (A, CNAME, PTR) and zone properties across the Windows DNS workplace.




- File Share and Print Automation:
- Automate the deployment of new file shares, including the PowerShell-based management and auditing of NTFS and Share permissions.
- Script the management and deployment of network printers and print servers.
- Script Lifecycle Management: Ability to create, maintain, and manage comprehensive script documentation, version control (e.g., Git), and detailed workflow documentation.
- High Availability & Process Alignment: Proficiency in working within high-availability production environments while strictly adhering to change and operational processes.
- This role focuses on engineering, deploying, and maintaining automated infrastructure solutions, with a strong knowledge on PowerShell scripting for Windows environments and core services.
- Develop and Maintain PowerShell Automation: Design, write, test, and maintain robust, reusable, and efficient PowerShell scripts and modules following professional automation engineering best practices, including coding standards, build processes, and testing methodologies.
- Infrastructure Automation: Drive the automation of routine and complex operational tasks across servers, networks, storage, and cloud/platform components using PowerShell.
- Collaboration & Documentation: Work collaboratively within the team and closely with other infrastructure, network, and application teams to gather requirements, develop automation solutions, and document script workflows and integration points.
- Process & Reliability: Align automation efforts with organizational goals, ensuring solutions support a high-availability environment and adhere to established ITIL processes, including service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Project Execution: Actively participate in managing incidents, change management processes, and delivering assigned automation projects.
