We are seeking a dedicated Plant HR & Admin to join our Manufacturing Plant. The ideal candidate should have 6-11 years of relevant experience in plant HR operations, industrial relations, statutory compliances, contract labour management, and plant administration.
Role & responsibilities
- Manage manpower planning activities, including contract labour management, apprentices, and multiskilling initiatives.
- Monitor contract labour attendance, authorize bills, ensure statutory compliance, and counsel contractors on performance and compliance requirements.
- Oversee plant administration activities, including security, housekeeping, facility maintenance, and statutory compliance.
- Handle industrial relations by liaising with unions, resolving employee concerns, conducting grievance and committee meetings, and ensuring adherence to wage agreements.
- Review payroll processes and ensure statutory compliance for employees and contract labour.
- Support health and safety initiatives through audits, trainings, compliance monitoring, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Drive employee engagement programs, including recognition schemes, celebrations, welfare activities, and employee communication initiatives.
- Support performance management processes, coordinate training programs, and collaborate with corporate HR on organizational development initiatives.
- Coordinate and liaise with government authorities and local bodies for statutory and administrative matters.
- Provide HR and administrative support to the Plant Manager through participation in review meetings, productivity monitoring, and incentive administration.
- Manage employee lifecycle activities, including induction, probation, confirmation, exit formalities, full and final settlements, and retirement processes.
Preferred candidate profile
- MBA/MSW/PGDM in Human Resources, Personnel Management, Labour Welfare, or related discipline.
- 6-11 years of experience in Plant HR and Administration within a manufacturing environment.
- Robust knowledge of labour laws, statutory compliances, industrial relations, and contract labour management.
- Experience in payroll administration, employee engagement, performance management, and training coordination.
- Exposure to handling unions, grievance management, and disciplinary procedures.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with employees, contractors, management, and government authorities.
