Job Title: Plant HR
Location: Jaipur Hydra Plant
Experience: 8-10 years
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Plant HR skilled to lead the complete HR and Administration function for our Hydra plant in Jaipur. The role requires an individual who has independently managed HR operations in a manufacturing/plant environment and is comfortable handling both strategic and hands-on responsibilities.
The incumbent will be responsible for manpower planning and deployment, employee relations, contract labour management, industrial relations, statutory compliance, liaison with government authorities, plant administration and employee engagement.
This is an independent plant HR role and requires strong ownership, sound knowledge of labour laws and the ability to work closely with the Plant Head and business leadership.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plant HR & Manpower Management
- Independently handle the complete HR function for the Hydra plant.
- Drive manpower planning, budgeting and deployment in line with production and business requirements.
- Monitor manpower productivity, absenteeism, overtime and attrition.
- Ensure optimum deployment of permanent, trainee, apprentice and contract manpower.
- Partner with plant leadership on workforce planning and organization structure.
- Drive recruitment and onboarding for plant positions.
2. Employee Relations & Industrial Relations
- Build positive employee relations and address employee grievances effectively.
- Handle disciplinary matters, misconduct cases, domestic enquiries and related documentation.
- Identify potential employee relations issues proactively and work with plant leadership to resolve them.
3. Contract Labour Management
- Manage the complete lifecycle of contract labour at the plant.
- Coordinate with contractors for manpower deployment, attendance, wages and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory requirements relating to contract labour.
- Monitor contractor compliance, wage payments, statutory deductions, attendance and other obligations.
- Work closely with contractors and plant operations to ensure uninterrupted manpower availability.
4. Labour Law & Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour and employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain all statutory registers, records, returns, licences and documentation.
- Coordinate statutory inspections and audits.
- Ensure timely compliance with requirements relating to wages, working hours, leave, social security, contract labour, factories and other applicable legislation.
- Liaise with the labour department and other statutory authorities as required.
5. Government Liaison
- Independently manage liaison with local government and statutory authorities.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with relevant labour, factory and other government departments.
- Represent the organization during inspections, notices, hearings and other official matters.
- Coordinate with external consultants and legal advisors wherever required.
6. Plant Administration
- Lead plant administration activities including security, housekeeping, transport, canteen, facility management and other employee services, as applicable.
- Ensure effective management of plant facilities and employee amenities.
- Monitor administrative costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Ensure compliance with safety, security and statutory requirements related to administration.
7. Performance, Training & Employee Engagement
- Drive implementation of the Performance Management System at the plant.
- Identify training and capability-building requirements in partnership with functional heads.
- Support skill development and workforce capability initiatives.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and communication forums.
8. HR Processes & Governance
- Ensure consistent implementation of HR policies and processes at the plant.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Drive HRMS adoption and data accuracy.
- Prepare and review plant HR MIS covering manpower, attrition, absenteeism, overtime, contract labour, compliance and other key metrics.
- Participate in HR audits and ensure timely closure of observations.
Candidate Profile
Education
- Post Graduate in Human Resources, Personnel Management, Industrial Relations or a related discipline.
- Qualification in Labour Laws / Personnel Management would be an advantage.
Experience
- 8-10 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
- Should have independently managed the HR function of a plant/unit.
- Strong experience in plant HR, manpower management, employee relations, contract labour, labour law compliance and government liaison is essential.
- Experience in handling plant administration will be preferred.
