Role Description The Planning Manager – MEP will oversee project planning, scheduling, and monitoring for MEP works across multiple projects in Chennai. This full-time, on-site role includes developing and maintaining detailed project plans, preparing and updating schedules, and coordinating with project managers, site engineers, and MEP teams to align timelines with execution progress. The role involves tracking project milestones, resource allocation, and productivity, as well as identifying delays, risks, and required corrective actions.

The Planning

Manager – MEP will prepare periodic progress reports, assist in tender planning and baseline program development, and ensure compliance with contractual requirements and quality standards. The individual will participate in coordination meetings, support decision-making with data-driven insights, and contribute to continuous improvement of planning processes.

Qualifications

Strong MEP project planning and scheduling capabilities, including experience with building services and coordination of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works.

- Proficiency in planning tools and software (such as MS Project, Primavera,



or equivalent) for creating, updating, and tracking project schedules.
- Ability to analyze project data, monitor progress, forecast timelines, and prepare detailed progress and variance reports.
- Sound knowledge of construction processes, contracts, and industry standards, with a focus on safety, quality, and compliance.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams, consultants, contractors, and clients.
- Robust organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related Engineering discipline; advanced qualifications in project management are an advantage.
- Relevant experience in MEP planning or project controls within construction or infrastructure projects, preferably in or around Chennai.
- Ability to work on-site full time, demonstrate leadership in planning functions, and support mentoring of junior planning and site staff.
