Role Description The Placement Officer role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Kolkata metropolitan area.

The Placement

Officer will coordinate campus placement activities, build and maintain relationships with industry partners, and identify suitable employment opportunities for learners across the institute’s training programs. Daily responsibilities include organizing employer visits, placement drives, and career fairs; preparing and updating student placement records and reports; and supporting learners with interview preparation, résumé building, and job application guidance. The role also involves providing career counseling,



conducting placement-related workshops and training sessions, and collaborating with academic and administrative teams to align training outcomes with industry requirements.

The Placement

Officer is expected to proactively engage with local and national employers to enhance placement rates and strengthen the institute’s industry network.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated ability in campus placement coordination, employer outreach, and relationship management with recruiting organizations.
- Strong communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication, presentation abilities, and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience in career counseling, student guidance, and mentoring individuals for employability and career progression.
- Background in training or education, preferably in vocational, technical, or qualified institutes, with an understanding of industry needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Management, Human Resources, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Solid organizational and planning skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple placement activities simultaneously.
- Knowledge of local and national job markets, especially in engineering, commercial practice, and IT-related roles.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic data management for maintaining placement records, reports, and employer databases.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, administration, and external partners, and to work in a learner-centric, inclusive environment.
