The Pharmacist serves as a critical healthcare professional specializing in pharmaceutical care, ensuring the safe, effective, and compliant use of medications. This role involves reviewing prescriptions, dispensing medication, administering immunizations, and offering clinical counseling to patients and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. The ideal candidate will maintain high standards of patient safety and strict adherence to Wisconsin state and federal pharmacy laws.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

- Medication Dispensing & Verification: Review and interpret physician orders to accurately compound, package, and dispense prescription medications while evaluating proper dosages, therapeutic duplications, and potential drug interactions.

- Patient Care & Counseling: Provide comprehensive counseling to patients on prescription and over-the-counter medications, including instruction on proper usage, potential side effects, and safe storage.

- Clinical Services & Immunizations: Perform health screenings and safely administer vaccinations and immunizations in accordance with Wisconsin Department of Health Services regulations.

- Cooperative Care: Partner with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare practitioners to optimize medication therapy management (MTM) and resolve complex clinical therapeutic discrepancies.

- Operational Supervision: Oversee and direct the workflow of pharmacy technicians and intern pharmacists, ensuring accuracy in data entry, compounding, and labeling before final clinical verification.

- Regulatory Compliance:



Maintain complete and accurate patient profiles, pharmacy registries, and inventory controls for controlled substances in strict compliance with the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board, FDA, and DEA regulations.

Required Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy.

- Licensure: Active and unrestricted Registered Pharmacist license in the State of Wisconsin (or eligible to obtain Wisconsin licensure via reciprocity or examination within 90 days of hire).

- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification and a valid Certified Immunizer designation in the State of Wisconsin.

Preferred Skills and Experience

- 1+ years of experience in a retail, clinical, or inpatient health-system pharmacy setting.

- Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency program (preferred for inpatient/clinical specialties).

- Active membership in professional organizations, such as the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin (PSW) or the American Pharmacists Association (APhA).

- Proficiency with pharmacy management software, electronic health records (EHR), and automated dispensing technology.

- Exceptional attention to detail, communication, and interper

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand, walk, and remain mobile for extended periods during an 8- to 12-hour shift.

- Ability to lift, move, and organize pharmacy inventory weighing up to 20 pound

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
