Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Penetration Tester at EXPLICIT INFOSEC.

The Penetration

Tester will plan, execute, and document security assessments on web applications, APIs, networks, cloud environments, and infrastructure to identify and validate vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities include developing test plans, conducting ethical hacking and red team exercises, collaborating with internal and client stakeholders to explain findings, and recommending practical remediation strategies. The role involves reviewing application architectures for security weaknesses,



performing exploit development and limited reverse engineering as needed, and staying current with emerging threats, tools, and frameworks.

The Penetration

Tester will also contribute to improving internal methodologies, creating technical reports and executive summaries, and supporting pre-sales or proposal efforts when required.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong cybersecurity skills, including hands-on experience with penetration testing methodologies, vulnerability assessment, and ethical hacking frameworks.
- Candidates should possess expertise in application security, including secure coding concepts, common web and mobile vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10), and secure design reviews.
- Candidates should possess skills in reverse engineering and malware analysis, including familiarity with disassembly tools, dynamic analysis, and understanding of exploit techniques.
- Candidates should possess experience in red teaming, including scenario-based testing, adversary emulation, and collaborative exercises with blue teams.
- Solid understanding of network, cloud, and operating system security fundamentals (Linux, Windows, common cloud platforms) and common attack vectors.
- Proficiency with penetration testing tools such as Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nmap, Wireshark, and relevant scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Relevant certifications such as OSCP, OSCE, GPEN, GXPN, or CEH are beneficial.
