Summary
As a Packaged or Software as a Service Application Engineer, a typical day involves configuring and supporting packaged or cloud-based applications to tailor features according to evolving business requirements. The role includes managing software releases and ensuring the overall stability and performance of the systems. The engineer works with various tools, application programming interfaces, and low-code platforms to deliver solutions that align with organizational goals while maintaining compatibility across different environments.
Collaboration with stakeholders to understand needs and adapt applications accordingly is a key part of daily activities.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become a subject matter expert.
-Hands-on experience with the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform, including Data Catalog, Business Glossary, and Workflow configuration and support. Good knowledge of Collibra Operating Model
-Configure, administer, and maintain the Collibra Data Catalog, including Communities, Domains, Asset Types, Attributes, Relations, Responsibilities, and Asset Hierarchies.
-Configure and manage Business Glossary, Data Assets, Data Elements, Reports, and Governance KPIs to support enterprise data governance initiatives.
-Ensure metadata is accurate, complete, consistent, and aligned across both business and technical domains.
Support manual and automated metadata ingestion from enterprise data sources using Collibra integrations and connectors.
-Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot metadata ingestion connectors and scheduled ingestion jobs.
-Support technical and business lineage collection, validation, and troubleshooting.
-Develop, configure, and maintain Collibra Workflows to automate governance processes and improve operational efficiency.
-Utilize Collibra REST APIs for automation, integrations, reporting, and metadata management activities.
-Configure and support Collibra Insights dashboards and reports to monitor governance adoption,
data quality, and platform usage metrics.
-Manage platform administration activities, including user provisioning, role-based access control, permissions, and issue resolution.
-Perform operating model promotion and migrate configurations, workflows, operating model components, and metadata changes across Development, Test, and Production environments.
-Support patch validation, release deployments, and production support activities.
-Collaborate with Data Stewards, Data Owners, Business Users, and Technical Teams to implement governance standards and best practices.
-Troubleshoot platform, workflow, ingestion, and integration issues, ensuring timely resolution and platform stability.
-Create and maintain technical documentation, operating procedures, and knowledge articles.
- Required active participation and contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement application enhancements.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain optimal operation.
- Document configuration changes and maintain detailed records of system modifications.
- Assist junior team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance on application usage and best practices.

- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve system stability and performance issues effectively.
- Familiarity with integration techniques to ensure compatibility across various software components.

- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Collibra Data Governance.
