RESPONSIBILTIES To develop the infrastructure for plant level Operational excellence initiative and assure quality processes, product and service are developed.

A. Work with Business Unit Op Ex team to create /implement road map

- Contribute to the business unit team defining and refining the vision, mission and deployment efforts
- Support Business Unit wide efforts (recognition events, best practices, cross business training, steering teams etc)
- Excellent communication is maintained between and within each plant and the Business Unit team. The establishing of a recipe that ensures Casting and X-ray scrap rate of below 3%.

B. Support Plant Steering Team in their Op Ex deployment

- Needs analysis of business processes are completed.
- Work with plant team to establish a local deployment plan of M2S.
- Establish and conduct training to ensure plant leadership team understands their role in leading Op Ex
- Training to Jolly’s and Operators about decision Making and Abnormality handling knowledge
- Establish and conduct training to ensure awareness for Op Ex principles exists within the plant leadership team
- Develop, implement process to close performance gaps and implement best practices
- .

C. Support plant implementation of Policy Deployment

- Assist with Strategic plan and the connection to Vital Few Priorities
- Create / Distribute Vital Few bulletin
- Develop / oversee effective plant management review

D. Mentor Plant Staffs, supervisors and technical support personnel

- Oversee, train and coach green Belts during application
- Oversee, train and coach Lean Enterprise workshops
- Develop process and value stream mapping experts
- Cost/benefit analyses are reviewed and recommendations made to management
- Conduct project reviews

Develop local Training Material in support of Op Ex

- Decision Making and Abnormality handling knowledge
- Expert in continuous improvement concepts Efficiently develop materials appropriate for an adult learning workplace

F. Conduct training/Lead workshops

- Work with plant to develop a yearly training plan and monitor execution eg. M2S assessment for all pillars
- Develop training network utilizing a train the trainer approach as needed
- Support training of all employees in the use of MBF problem solving
- Track Op Ex assessment and ensure progress towards final state
- Accurate information is provided to Finance Department expenses are within budget
- Contingency plans are developed to assure quality service and products should re-budgeting become necessary due to business conditions

G. Support Op Ex Intranet & best practices sharing/implementation

- Maintain content and designs within site
- Maintain project tracking system and for plant

QUALIFICATIONS

- Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree
- Education Program: Mechanical, automobile or Production Engineering

- Professional Registrations and Certifications: Six Sigma Master Black Belt

- Language Requirements: English, Hindi, Marathi

EXPERIENCE:

- Years of Experience: Overall 12 – 15 years of experience
- 8 - 10 years of experience in Operations / engineering or manufacturing processes
- 5 years of experience in operations excellence

KNOWLEDGE:

- Six Sigma Master Black Belt
