We are looking for a detailed, quality-focused Operations & Filling Intern to join our essential oil processing and packaging team. In this hands-on role, you will assist in precision dispensing, batch filling, labeling, and inventory handling for pure essential oils, absolutes, blend formulations, and fragrance carrier systems.

This internship offers practical experience with volatile liquid handling, glass/aluminum packaging compatibility, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and the operational workflows of the essential oil and aroma ingredients industry.

Key Roles & Responsibilities1. Precision Filling & Bottling

- Volumetric & Gravimetric Filling: Hand-fill, semi-automate, and dispense accurate quantities of essential oils, carrier blends, and sample vials (ranging from 1 mL micro-samples up to 1 L bulk aluminum bottles).
- Equipment Operation & Sanitization: Clean, purge, setup, and maintain filling pumps, stainless steel transfer lines, peristaltic liquid dispensers, and dropper-cap crimpers.
- Compatibility & Seal Checks: Fit orifice reducers, droppers, roll-ons, and tamper-evident caps securely to prevent volatile loss or oxidation.

2. Chemical Safety & Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

- Cross-Contamination Prevention: Follow strict line-clearance and wash protocols between distinct aromatic profiles to ensure zero fragrance transfer between batches.
- PPE & Hazardous Material Protocols: Handle volatile organic compounds, neat essential oils, and aromatic raw materials using proper personal protective equipment (gloves, eye protection, ventilation hoods).
- Cleanroom & Workstation Hygiene: Maintain clean, organized filling lines, wash stainless steel containers, and sanitize work surfaces using industry-approved solvents.

3. Quality Assurance & In-Line Inspection

- In-Process Quality Checks: Verify fill levels, check lot/batch number prints,



ensure seal tightness, and inspect label alignment.
- Sample Retention: Collect and log standard retain samples from each filling batch for lab testing and quality archives.
- Storage Protocols: Ensure volatile oils are transferred quickly to dark glass (Amber/Cobalt) or lined aluminum containers and kept away from direct light and heat.

4. Inventory & Batch Documentation

- Batch Production Records: Accurately log lot numbers, batch yields, spillages, and tare/gross weights on daily production sheets.
- Material Staging: Organize amber glass bottles, caps, droppers, outer cartons, and raw bulk oil drums prior to filling runs.
- Stock Audits: Assist in tracking inventory levels of essential oil bulk stocks, carrier oils, and specialized packaging materials.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Education: Pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Cosmetic Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
- Olfactory & Physical Sensitivity: Comfortable working in an environment with strong aromatic scents; strict adherence to safety and ventilation guidelines.
- Manual Dexterity: High precision in handling small glass vials, droppers, pipette tools, and delicate packaging components.
- Attention to Detail: Methodical mindset for logging lot numbers, weight measurements, and cleanroom sanitization steps.
- Physical Ability: Ability to stand for extended periods and safely move bulk containers or component boxes up to 15–20 kg.

- Hands-on understanding of essential oil viscosity, volatile liquid handling, and shelf-life preservation.
- Exposure to GMP, line-clearance protocols, and regulatory batch tracking in aromatic manufacturing.
- Practical skills in inventory control, bulk-to-unit yield calculations, and packaging line operations.
