Palliative Care Nurse – Home Healthcare

GIRAH Care is looking for a compassionate and experienced Nurse with Palliative Care experience to provide professional nursing care to patients in their homes.

The nurse will support patients with serious, chronic, or life-limiting illnesses, with a robust focus on comfort, symptom management, dignity, safety, and quality of life.

Responsibilities

- Provide palliative nursing care at the patient's home
- Monitor vital signs and changes in the patient's condition
- Administer medications as prescribed by the treating doctor
- Assist with pain and symptom management according to the care plan
- Provide wound care, catheter care, feeding support, and other nursing procedures when required
- Support bedridden and mobility-restricted patients
- Assist with Ryles/NG tube feeding and related care when required
- Observe and promptly report changes in the patient's condition
- Coordinate with doctors, family members, and GIRAH Care
- Maintain accurate nursing and patient-care records
- Educate and guide family members regarding appropriate patient care
- Provide compassionate emotional support to patients and their families
- Follow infection-control, hygiene, patient-safety, and confidentiality standards

Requirements
- GNM / B.Sc.



Nursing or equivalent recognized nursing qualification
- Valid nursing registration
- Previous experience in palliative care is required
- Experience in home healthcare, hospice, ICU, oncology, geriatric care, or long-term care is preferred
- Comfortable caring for bedridden and seriously ill patients
- Good communication and patient-handling skills
- Compassionate, patient, dependable, and professional
- Willing to provide care at the patient's home

Preferred Skills Experience with palliative and end-of-life care, pain and symptom monitoring, wound care, catheter care, NG/Ryles tube feeding, oxygen support, bedridden patient care, and elderly care will be an advantage.
