We are looking for an experienced Manager –

- New Product Development with strong expertise in sheet metal fabrication and heavy fabrication processes. The candidate should have hands-on knowledge of TIG/MIG welding, laser cutting, CNC bending, fabrication, tooling, and process development, with the ability to lead new product development projects from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead new product development (NPD) activities from concept, feasibility study, prototype development to mass production.
- Review customer drawings, specifications, BOMs and identify manufacturing requirements.
- Develop and optimize processes for sheet metal and heavy fabrication components.
- Strong technical knowledge of TIG and MIG welding processes, welding parameters and weld quality requirements.
- Good knowledge of laser cutting, CNC bending, fabrication and related sheet metal processes.
- Develop process flow, routing, work instructions, tooling and fixtures for new products.
- Coordinate with Design, Production, Quality, Purchase, SCM and Customer teams for successful product launch.
- Conduct DFM/DFA reviews and provide manufacturing feasibility feedback.
- Manage prototype development, trials, sample approval and process validation.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, cycle-time improvement and productivity enhancement.
- Support welding fixture, jigs and tooling development.
- Analyze fabrication and welding-related issues and implement corrective actions.




- Ensure new products meet quality, dimensional, functional and customer requirements.
- Prepare and maintain NPD documentation, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan and process-related documents.
- Lead continuous improvement activities related to fabrication and welding processes.
- Guide and develop the NPD engineering team.

Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Manufacturing Engineering

Experience

- 8–12 years of relevant experience in NPD, sheet metal fabrication, heavy fabrication, welding or manufacturing engineering.
- Experience in automotive, engineering, industrial equipment or fabrication industries will be preferred.
