nRole Overview

nThe NetDevOps Consultant will drive network integration, automation, and orchestration across cloud, edge, and enterprise environments aligned to a Modern Ops and AI-first operating model. The role focuses on Network Infrastructure as Code (NetIaC), CI/CD pipelines, AI-driven operations (AIOps), observability integration, and SRE-led reliability engineering.

nKey Responsibilities

n

nDevelop and manage Network Infrastructure as Code (NetIaC) using Python, Ansible, and Terraform for provisioning and lifecycle management.

nDesign and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitOps, APIs, and orchestration platforms (e.g., Itential) for network services.

nAutomate connectivity services (VLAN, DNS, Firewall, DDI) integrated with ServiceNow and ITSM workflows.

nDrive AI/ML use cases such as WAN capacity forecasting, anomaly detection, predictive analytics, and self-healing networks.

nIntegrate and manage observability platforms (SolarWinds Orion, Elastic, Grafana, ZDX) for proactive monitoring and insights.

nProvide engineering and support for MCP (Model Context Protocol) and AI agent integrations.

nEnsure AI-driven compliance, security monitoring, cost optimization, and continuous network stability improvements.

nCollaborate with Cloud, IAM, SRE, and platform teams to deliver unified control plane operations across Azure, GCP, and Edge.

nParticipate in design reviews focusing on resilience, failure domains, scalability, and automation readiness.

nCreate reusable playbooks, pipelines, and modules for provisioning, upgrades, compliance, and backup workflows.

nMentor engineers and contribute to best practices in NetDevOps, automation, and reliability engineering.

nSupport global 24x7 operations aligned to SRE principles (SLIs, SLOs, Error Budgets) and drive reduction in incidents via AIOps.

nTechnical Skills & Experience

n

nStrong experience in network engineering / NOC / NRE / NetDevOps roles.

nDeep expertise in core networking: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VLANs, VRFs, HSRP/VRRP.

nHands-on experience across network domains: LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, Data Center (ACI/Nexus), WLAN, Firewalls, Load Balancers.

nStrong network automation expertise using Python, Ansible, Terraform, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

nExperience with Python libraries such as Netmiko, NAPALM, pyATS (preferred).

nExperience with orchestration tools such as Itential.

nKnowledge of Source of Truth tools like NetBox/Nautobot and ITSM integration (ServiceNow).

nExperience with observability tools such as SolarWinds, Grafana, Elastic, ThousandEyes, DNAC.

nStrong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, QoS, and troubleshooting complex network issues.

nExperience with cloud networking in Azure and GCP environments.

nExposure to AIOps, AI-driven operations, and observability platforms.

nScope & Delivery Expectations

n• Deliver ~30–40 automation workflows/stories per quarter across LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, Firewall, DDI, and Cloud domains.

n• Own build, test, operations support, and continuous development.

n• Operate within a global 24x7x365 environment.

n• Drive reduction in tickets through automation, observability, and AI-driven self-healing capabilities.

n• Align delivery to SRE principles with measurable SLIs/SLOs and continuous improvement.

nAdditional Requirements

n• Experience in SRE-driven operating model.

n• Solid collaboration and stakeholder management skills.

n• Experience in documentation (runbooks/playbooks) and mentoring team members.

n• Relevant certifications in Networking, Azure, GCP, and Automation preferred.

n• Experience in multi-cloud, edge networking, and SD-WAN environments preferred.
