About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and hands-on L2 Network Engineer to manage, troubleshoot and support network and security infrastructure deployed across multiple customer sites.
The ideal candidate should have practical experience in Cisco networking, Fortinet security solutions, routing, switching and wireless technologies. Exposure to Aruba networking will be an added advantage.
This is a field-oriented, customer-facing role requiring the engineer to independently troubleshoot issues, coordinate with customer IT/OT teams and vendors, and ensure timely resolution of network-related incidents.
Key Responsibilities
Provide L2 technical support for customer network infrastructure.
Configure, troubleshoot and maintain:
Cisco switches and routers
Fortinet firewalls / UTM
Wireless Access Points and controllers
Aruba networking equipment – advantageous
Perform hands-on troubleshooting of:
LAN/WAN connectivity
VLANs
Inter-VLAN routing
Static and dynamic routing
Switching issues
STP-related problems
DHCP/DNS connectivity issues
Network loops and broadcast issues
Wireless connectivity
Firewall policies and connectivity
VPN connectivity
Assist in network implementation, migration and commissioning activities.
Perform device configuration, backup and restoration.
Conduct network health checks and preventive maintenance.
Monitor network performance and identify recurring problems.
Work with L1/L2/L3 teams, OEMs and service providers for problem resolution.
Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, configuration backups and site records.
Participate in customer meetings and provide technical updates.
Visit multiple customer plants/sites across Pune as required.
Support planned maintenance, shutdown and emergency troubleshooting activities.
Follow change-management and escalation procedures.
Maintain proper service reports and closure documentation.
Technical Skills Required

3–4 years of hands-on networking experience.

Industrial/plant network exposure.
CCNA / Fortinet certification or equivalent practical knowledge.

Education
Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Computer, IT, Networking or related discipline.

"Hands-on engineer rather than a purely monitoring/helpdesk engineer."
Candidates who have actually configured switches/firewalls, traced network problems, worked at customer sites and resolved issues independently should be preferred.
Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per month
