Role Summary

ARAs Client is seeking an experienced Senior Application Lead – Murex Platform to lead and support enterprise-wide Murex implementation, integration, environment management, reporting, automation testing, and application support initiatives.

The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise across Murex Connectivity 2.0, Murex Environment & Configuration Management, Murex Datamart Reporting, Murex MXTest, and Murex Front Office Finance. The role involves working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, business users, QA teams, infrastructure teams, and development teams to ensure seamless delivery, application stability, testing quality, and platform scalability across capital markets ecosystems.

The candidate will act as the primary technical point of contact, contribute to architecture discussions, lead delivery initiatives, and support mission-critical Murex environments.

Key Responsibilities

Murex Connectivity & Integration

- Lead the design, development, and configuration of Murex applications and integrations
- Manage workflow configuration and development activities within Murex Connectivity 2.0
- Develop and maintain APIs,



trade workflows, and exchange integration solutions
- Perform MXML configuration and development tasks
- Support interface integrations, messaging systems, and workflow orchestration

Workplace & Configuration Management

- Manage Murex environment setup, refresh, deployment, and release activities
- Support configuration management and production/UAT deployment coordination
- Troubleshoot environment-related issues across distributed systems
- Ensure adherence to scalability, security, and performance standards
- Coordinate release management and patch deployment activities

Murex Datamart & Reporting

- Focus on Murex Datamart architecture, reporting development, and optimization
- Analyze MX Datamart setups and improve batch execution performance
- Work on dynamic tables, feeders, scanner templates, extractions, and reporting objects
- Support EOD batch execution, Autosys/CTRL-M scheduling, and report generation
- Collaborate with QA and business teams for defect remediation and testing support

Murex MXTest & Quality Engineering

- Design, develop, and execute functional and automated test cases using Murex MXTest (Onyx)
- Define and implement functional testing strategies and quality metrics
- Drive testing lifecycle management, defect resolution, and automation improvements
- Support regression testing, UAT, integration testing, and test execution tracking




- Mentor QA and junior testing team members on best practices

Application Support & Leadership

- Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to deliver scalable enterprise solutions
- Drive technical discussions and contribute to architecture and design decisions
- Coordinate across multiple teams to ensure timely project delivery
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and capability development
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives

Must Have Qualifications

- 7.5+ years of experience in Murex platform implementation and support
- Hands-on expertise in at least one or more of:
- Murex Connectivity 2.0
- Murex Datamart Reporting
- Murex MXTest
- Murex Environment & Configuration Management
- Murex Front Office Finance

- Strong technical expertise in:

- Java
- XML/XSLT
- SQL (TSQL/PL SQL)
- Unix Shell/Perl Scripting
- APIs & Integration Services
- Messaging Queues (MQ/TIBCO)

- Strong understanding of:

- MXML Data Model
- Murex Reporting Architecture
- Operations Workflows
- Pre-trade & Post-trade Workflows
- Financial Products & Capital Markets

- Experience with:

- EOD batches
- Autosys / CTRL-M scheduling tools
- Defect management and root cause analysis
- Test automation and quality engineering
- Release and deployment management

- Solid communication, analytical, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have

- Experience with Murex Back Office Workflows
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Exposure to distributed enterprise architecture
- Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments
- Knowledge of low-code platforms and SaaS application support
