Exigo Tech is currently looking for a MSBI Developer (full time)

The successful candidate will be required to:

Job Profile / Roles & Responsibilities

Dashboard Development & Visualization

- Design and develop interactive, visually compelling Power BI dashboards and paginated reports
- Translate business requirements into intuitive visualizations and KPIs
- Build reports using best‑practice UX, design standards, and storytelling principles

Data Modelling & Transformation

- Create optimized data models with relationships, hierarchies, and calculations
- Perform complex data transformations using Power Query (M language)
- Write advanced DAX measures and calculated columns for business logic

Power BI Service & Deployment

- Manage datasets, dataflows, gateways, workspaces, and scheduled refreshes
- Implement row‑level security (RLS), workspace governance, and deployment pipelines
- Publish and deploy reports across Dev → Test → Prod environments

Integration & Data Engineering Collaboration

- Work with data engineers to optimize data sources (SQL, Azure Synapse, Data Lake, APIs, Excel, SharePoint, etc.)
- Support integration with Azure services such as Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, SQL Database




- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align analytics with business requirements

Performance Optimization

- Identify and resolve bottlenecks in visuals, DAX, model architecture, and data refresh
- Use Performance Analyzer and best practices to improve report speed and user experience

Documentation, Testing & Support

- Prepare technical documentation (data dictionary, design specs, user guides)
- Support UAT, troubleshoot report issues, and provide L2/L3 analytics support
- Conduct training sessions for analysts, business users, and end‑users

Skills

Functional (Business Centric)

- Ability to understand and map business processes into measurable KPIs
- Experience in at least one domain such as Finance, Sales, Supply Chain, HR, Marketing, Operations, etc.
- Strong analytical, storytelling, and presentation skills
- Capability to interpret business needs and convert them into analytical insights
- Understanding of data governance, data quality, and compliance concepts

Technical

- Power BI Tools & Ecosystem
- Power BI Desktop (Visuals, Reports, DAX, Data Modelling)
- Power BI Service (workspaces, dataflow, gateway, refresh schedules)
- Deployment Pipelines, Row-Level Security (RLS)
- Languages & Transformation
- DAX (advanced): measures,



time intelligence, context transition
- Power Query / M Language for ETL transformations
- Strong SQL querying skills
- Databases & Platforms
- SQL Server / Azure SQL
- Azure Data Lake
- Azure Synapse Analytics (awareness)
- SharePoint, Excel, CSV, API data sources
- Performance & Optimization
- Tabular model optimization
- Aggregations, incremental refresh, composite models
- Performance Analyzer usage
- Integration & DevOps
- Understanding of ALM principles for BI
- Exposure to Azure DevOps, version control (Git)
- Experience with enterprise data gateways

Others

- Power Apps / Power Automate (Power Platform awareness)
- Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Functions, Logic Apps
- Python or R for advanced analytics
- Power BI Paginated Reports (Report Builder)
- Experience with semantic modelling tools (Tabular Editor)
- Exposure to Machine Learning & predictive analytics scenarios

Work Location: Vadodara, Gujarat. (Onsite)

Experience: 5+ years

Education: Graduate / Masters / B.Tech / M.Tech / B.C.A / M.C.A / M B A / B.Sc

Certifications:

- PL‑300: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (Highly preferred)
- DP‑900: Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals
- PL‑900: Power Platform Fundamentals
- DA‑100 (legacy) is acceptable
- Azure certifications (AZ‑900, DP‑203) — nice-to-have for advanced data scenarios

Salary Range: As per market standard plus Medical and Accidental Insurance, Paid Leaves and Holidays
