1. Job Purpose
To teach Mathematics to middle school students in accordance with the CBSE curriculum, develop logical reasoning and problem-solving skills, and ensure effective learning through engaging teaching methodologies and continuous assessment.
1. Key Roles and Responsibilities
2. Teaching and Lesson Planning
- Plan and deliver Mathematics lessons for Classes VI to VIII as per the CBSE curriculum and NCERT guidelines.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, worksheets, assignments, and classroom activities.
- Explain mathematical concepts using practical examples, activities, and real-life applications.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching methodologies to enhance student engagement.
1. Curriculum Implementation
- Cover the prescribed syllabus within the stipulated academic schedule.
- Teach topics such as Number Systems, Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration, Data Handling, Fractions, Decimals, Ratio and Proportion, and other prescribed concepts.
- Develop students' analytical thinking, numerical ability, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Ensure alignment with CBSE learning outcomes and competency-based education.
1. Assessment and Evaluation
- Conduct regular class tests, assignments, quizzes, and periodic assessments.
- Prepare question papers, worksheets, and assessment materials according to CBSE guidelines.
- Evaluate answer scripts and maintain accurate records of student performance.
- Identify learning gaps and provide remedial teaching and additional support to students.
1. Classroom Management
- Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Encourage active participation, critical thinking, and team-oriented learning.
- Monitor student attendance, academic progress, and classroom behaviour.
1. Student Development
- Provide individual attention to students requiring additional academic support.
- Encourage participation in Mathematics Olympiads, quizzes, competitions, and other academic activities.
- Motivate students to develop confidence and a positive attitude towards Mathematics.
1. Parent and Staff Coordination
- Communicate students' academic progress and areas for improvement to parents.
- Attend parent-teacher meetings, departmental meetings, and academic review sessions.
- Coordinate with fellow teachers, class coordinators, and academic leadership to improve learning outcomes.
1. Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain lesson plans, assessment records, student portfolios, and academic documentation.
- Complete syllabus records, student progress reports, and other academic documentation within deadlines.
- Participate in school events, training programmes, workshops, and other assigned duties.
- Follow all school policies, CBSE guidelines, and instructions issued by the school management.
1. Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics (B.Sc. Mathematics or equivalent).
- B.Ed. in Mathematics is preferred or as required by applicable recruitment norms.
- Relevant CBSE curriculum knowledge is essential.
1. Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in Middle School Mathematics.
- Experience in a CBSE-affiliated school is preferred.
- Freshers with strong subject knowledge and effective communication skills may also be considered.

- Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to explain complex mathematical concepts in a simple and engaging manner.
- Proficiency in lesson planning, assessment, and remedial teaching.
- Familiarity with NCERT textbooks, CBSE curriculum, and competency-based learning.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in digital teaching tools.
- Patience, adaptability, teamwork, and a student-centred approach.

- Timely completion of the prescribed syllabus.
- Improvement in students' academic performance and conceptual understanding.
- Effective classroom management and student engagement.

Note: The teacher is expected to uphold the school's academic standards, maintain professional conduct, and contribute to the overall academic and personal development of students. Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹42,000.00 per month
