We at Saxon AI is looking for an experienced Microsoft Fabric Architect to design and deliver modern, scalable data and analytics platforms using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, Power BI, and related Microsoft technologies.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data architecture, lakehouse/warehouse design, data engineering, analytics, and cloud platforms, with the ability to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. The role will involve working closely with clients, data engineers, BI teams, solution architects, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end Microsoft Fabric data and analytics architectures aligned with business and technical requirements.
- Define architecture across Fabric Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, OneLake, Data Factory, Dataflows Gen2, Notebooks, Pipelines, and Power BI.
- Develop modern Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) and scalable data pipelines.
- Design and implement data ingestion and transformation solutions using Fabric Data Factory, pipelines, notebooks, SQL, PySpark and Spark.
- Define strategies for data integration, data quality, governance, security, lineage, and metadata management.
- Architect and optimize Power BI semantic models, DAX, Direct Lake, Import and DirectQuery solutions.
- Work with large-scale structured and unstructured data and optimize solutions for performance, scalability, availability, and cost.
- Design integration with Azure services, including Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse and other relevant services.
- Establish appropriate security and access-control models, including Microsoft Entra ID, workspace security, RLS/OLS and governance controls.
- Define CI/CD and DevOps practices for Fabric workloads using Azure DevOps/Git and deployment pipelines.
- Lead technical discussions with customers and provide recommendations on Fabric adoption, migration and modernization.
- Assess existing data platforms and develop migration/modernization roadmaps from legacy systems, SQL Server, Synapse,
Databricks or other platforms to Microsoft Fabric.
- Conduct architecture reviews, POCs and technical workshops.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor data engineers and BI professionals.
- Support pre-sales activities, including solutioning, effort estimation, technical proposals, presentations and client discussions.

- Microsoft certifications such as DP-600 Implementing Analytics Solutions Using Microsoft Fabric or equivalent.
- Experience with Azure Databricks / Azure Synapse.
- Experience with Microsoft Purview.
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID and enterprise security.
- Experience with Direct Lake and Fabric capacity optimization.
- Experience migrating legacy data warehouses/data lakes to Fabric.
- Exposure to AI/ML, Azure AI or GenAI workloads within modern data platforms.
- Experience working with global enterprise customers.
