Role Description The Mechanical Project Engineer role is a full time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The individual in this role will manage mechanical engineering aspects of EPC projects, including design review, technical calculations, and coordination of equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, and piping systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and evaluating mechanical drawings and CAD models, collaborating with cross-functional teams, monitoring project schedules and budgets, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and safety requirements.

Engineer will also oversee vendor coordination, support installation and commissioning activities, and provide technical documentation and reporting to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Mechanical Engineering and Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) skills relevant to industrial and energy-sector projects.
- Candidates should possess Project Engineering and Project Management skills to plan, execute, and monitor mechanical project deliverables.
- Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills for creating, reviewing, and updating mechanical drawings and models.
- Candidates should have knowledge of industry standards, codes, and safety regulations applicable to mechanical equipment and EPC projects.
- Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; a master’s degree is an advantage.
- Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and proficiency in technical documentation and reporting.
- Candidates should have effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams on-site.
- Prior experience in oil and gas, power generation, or renewable energy projects, and familiarity with fabrication and installation processes, is beneficial.
