Mechanical Design Engineering Intern

About the Role
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineering Intern to contribute to the design, development, assembly, and manufacturing of cutting-edge agricultural implements and machinery. The intern will work closely with the engineering team throughout the complete product development cycle, from concept generation and CAD modeling to fabrication, assembly, testing, and performance evaluation. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in agricultural machinery design, prototype development, manufacturing processes, and engineering validation.
Roles & Responsibilities
● Design agricultural implements and machine components using CAD software.
● Develop 3D models, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings.
● Design and optimize mechanical systems for functionality, manufacturability, and costeffectiveness.
● Perform engineering calculations, including:
○ Load and stress analysis
○ Torque and power calculations
○ Material selection
○ Factor of Safety (FoS)
● Prepare fabrication and manufacturing drawings with appropriate GD&T; and tolerances.
● Support fabrication, machining, welding, and manufacturing activities.
● Assemble prototypes and troubleshoot mechanical issues during development.
● Conduct functional testing and performance evaluation of agricultural implements.
● Assist in design improvements based on testing and field feedback.
● Coordinate with fabrication teams to ensure design feasibility and quality.
● Maintain engineering documentation, BOMs, design revisions, and technical reports.
