- osition: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Jigs & Fixtures

- Salary Range: ₹50,000 – ₹70,000 per month

Core Responsibilities

- Concept to Creation: Develop innovative concepts, 3D models, and comprehensive production drawings for welding fixtures, machining jigs, inspection gauges, and assembly tooling based on customer component data.

- Engineering Principles: Apply the 3-2-1 positioning principle, structural mechanics, and error-proofing (Poka-Yoke) techniques into jig and fixture systems.

- Component Selection: Standardize and select appropriate pneumatic cylinders, hydraulic clamping units, sensors, and standard hardware elements.

- Technical Documentation: Perform detailed structural calculations, generate exhaustive Bills of Materials (BOM), and execute complete Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;) on manufacturing drawings to eliminate fabrication errors.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with shop floor production teams,



toolrooms, and clients to troubleshoot design issues, implement engineering changes (ECN), and validate prototype runs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Education: BE / B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.

- Software Competency: Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD design software such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Creo, or Siemens NX, coupled with 2D drafting proficiency in AutoCAD.

- Manufacturing Knowledge: Deep understanding of machining processes (milling, turning, grinding), fabrication, surface treatment, and material selection (e.g., OHNS, mild steel, aluminum).

- Tolerance Stack-up: Mastery in calculating tolerances, fits, and assembly stack-up analysis.

Pay: ₹48,885.67 - ₹65,169.24 per month
