Role Description The Mathematics Teacher will design and deliver engaging mathematics lessons to learners, ensuring strong conceptual understanding and practical application. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning lessons aligned with curriculum objectives, preparing teaching materials, assessing learner progress, and providing constructive feedback. The role also involves developing or refining mathematics curriculum content, supporting learners who need additional help, and maintaining accurate academic records.
The Mathematics
Teacher will collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent standards, contribute to academic planning, and participate in meetings or training sessions as needed. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Panaji.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mathematics and Mathematics Education, with the ability to teach core and advanced topics clearly and accurately.
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development to create structured, outcome-focused learning experiences.
- Status as a Qualified Teacher, with appropriate teaching certifications or licenses relevant to mathematics instruction.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field.
- Experience teaching mathematics at school or college level, with evidence of positive learner outcomes.
- Explicit, effective communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible manner.
- Strong classroom management skills, with a learner-centered, inclusive, and respectful approach.
- Comfort with using educational technology and digital tools to support instruction and assessment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with academic and administrative staff and adapt to institutional policies and processes.
