Beauty by BiE — Marketing & Growth Manager
Full-time | Mumbai (hybrid preferred) | Reports to: Founder. (Growth & Strategy)
About Beauty by BiE
Beauty by BiE (beautybybie.com) is a premium Indian skincare brand built around concern-led skincare — pigmentation, tan, dark circles — formulated by Dr. Dinyar Workingboxwalla and founded by Queenie Singh. We sell direct-to-consumer and across major marketplaces (Amazon, Nykaa, Myntra, Tira, Blinkit), with a 4.8-rated catalogue and a base of 50,000+ customers, and we're also present offline.
Role Overview
We're hiring a Marketing & Growth Manager to own the entire marketing mandate — brand, performance marketing, retention, organic/SEO, offline and marketplace marketing — as one connected growth function, not a set of disconnected channels. You'll work with specialists across each of these areas and be accountable for how they add up to one number: growth. This is a role for someone who thinks in P&L; and contribution margin as much as in campaigns and creative — not a single-channel specialist, but someone who can run the whole mandate and make every channel work harder because of what the others are doing.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing strategy & ownership
Own the marketing budget and translate revenue/growth targets into a channel-level marketing plan across paid, organic, retention, offline and marketplace
Define and protect brand positioning and consistency across every channel and touchpoint
Own CAC, ROAS and overall marketing contribution to revenue as core accountability metrics — not vanity metrics per channel
Performance marketing -
Set strategy and own budget allocation across Meta, Google and other paid channels, balancing acquisition cost against contribution margin — not just channel-level ROAS
Ensure tracking, attribution and reporting are accurate enough to make real budget decisions on
Manage relationships with performance marketing specialists or agencies
Brand & creative -
Own brand voice, positioning and creative direction across D2C, marketplace listings, offline collateral and social
Manage creative production and any agency/freelance relationships (photography, video, design)
Retention oversight -
Set retention targets (repeat purchase rate, LTV) jointly with the retention/CRM function and ensure acquisition and retention strategies reinforce rather than undercut each other
Make sure customer lifecycle marketing is treated as a growth lever, not an afterthought to acquisition
Organic/SEO oversight -
Set organic growth targets jointly with the SEO function and ensure content strategy (blog, SEO, social) ties back to commercial priorities, not just traffic
Ensure SEO, content and paid strategies are coordinated rather than competing for the same keywords or audiences
Offline & retail marketing -
Own offline/retail marketing strategy across up-to-date trade, exclusive brand outlets, and partner stores as applicable
Coordinate in-store visibility, merchandising and launch support with offline partners and distributors
Represent marketing in offline channel partnership discussions
Marketplace marketing -
Own marketing strategy across marketplaces (Amazon, Nykaa, Myntra, Tira, Blinkit and others) in coordination with whoever manages the marketplace/channel relationships
Ensure marketplace advertising, promotions and listing content are aligned with overall brand and margin strategy — not run as an isolated channel with its own logic
Team & cross-functional leadership -
Manage and mentor channel specialists (performance marketing, retention/CRM, SEO) — as direct reports or close functional collaborators, depending on team structure
Run a regular cross-functional planning and reporting cadence so no channel operates in a silo
Be the connective layer that makes sure a decision in one channel (a promotion, a campaign, a launch) is known and accounted for in every other channel
Reporting & analytics -
Own the marketing dashboard and reporting cadence to founders/leadership
Bring a data-driven, test-and-learn approach to budget and channel decisions
Present clear recommendations, not just reports — leadership should get a point of view, not a data dump
What You'll Need
5–8+ years in marketing, with meaningful experience in D2C/e-commerce
Proven experience owning a marketing budget and a revenue/growth target — not just running a single channel
Strong grounding in performance marketing fundamentals (Meta/Google ads, CAC, ROAS, attribution)
Working knowledge of retention/CRM and SEO fundamentals, even if you haven't executed them hands-on
People management experience — has managed specialists or a small team, or is ready to
Strong analytical skills — comfortable moving from data to a budget or strategy decision
Excellent communication skills — able to represent the marketing function to founders and external partners with a clear point of view
What We're Looking For (Beyond the Skills) -
This role only works as the connective layer it's meant to be — not as another silo alongside the others. We're not looking for someone who only knows paid media, or only branding, or only offline. We want someone who can sit across all of it, ask the right questions of every specialist, and own growth as a single number that all of these channels roll up into. A genuine team player who makes the people around them better, not a lone operator running their own agenda.
Nice to Have -
Category experience in beauty, personal care, or a similarly considered-purchase D2C category
Experience taking a D2C brand through a growth plateau or decline back to growth
Experience managing multiple specialist agencies or vendors simultaneously
Familiarity with offline/retail go-to-market in addition to D2C
Compensation -
Commensurate with experience.
