Identify current and upcoming jewellery design trends in the market, understand customer and wholesale demand, and communicate jewellery design themes and concepts effectively to wholesalers and vendors to encourage higher-volume and wider design selections.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify latest jewellery design trends, themes, patterns and concepts in the market.
- Study competitor designs, market preferences and emerging jewellery trends.
- Develop and present design themes and concepts suitable for wholesale customers and vendors.
- Explain the design story, concept, styling and market potential of jewellery collections.
- Coordinate with wholesalers and vendors to understand their requirements and buying preferences.
- Promote new jewellery designs and encourage customers/vendors to select more designs and higher quantities.
- Collect feedback from wholesalers and vendors regarding design, pricing, demand and market acceptance.
- Coordinate with the jewellery design and production teams based on market feedback.
- Maintain records of popular designs,
customer preferences and market trends.
- Support the development of new collections based on current market demand.
- Regularly visit/communicate with wholesale customers and vendors to promote new concepts.
Skills & Qualifications
- Any Degree / MBA / Marketing qualification preferred.
- Experience in jewellery marketing, wholesale jewellery, jewellery designing, fashion or lifestyle products will be an advantage.
- Valuable understanding of jewellery designs, trends and customer preferences.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to explain creative concepts in a simple and convincing manner.
- Good market research and trend-identification skills.
- Sales-oriented approach with the ability to build relationships with wholesalers and vendors.
- Willingness to travel locally for customer/vendor meetings, if required.
