Role Purpose To independently manage and oversee Finance & Accounts operations, ensuring timely and accurate financial closing, MIS and management reporting, statutory and tax compliances, working-capital and cash-flow management, audit closure, banking and lender reporting, and effective financial controls across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting & Closing
- Independently manage monthly, quarterly and annual closure of books.
- Review GL, Trial Balance, provisions, accruals, reconciliations and financial statements.
- Ensure complete, accurate and timely accounting in ERP.
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and ensure proper financial controls.
1. MIS & Management Reporting
- Prepare and review monthly MIS, P&L; analysis and variance reports.
- Analyse actual performance against Budget / Forecast and highlight key deviations.
- Prepare management reports, financial dashboards and business performance analysis.
- Provide meaningful financial insights and inputs to Management for decision-making.
1. Audit & Financial Finalisation
- Independently coordinate Statutory Audit and Tax Audit.
- Prepare and review audit schedules,
supporting documentation and financial statements.
- Respond to Auditor queries and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Drive timely finalisation of financial statements and statutory reporting.
1. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Review GST, TDS and Income Tax compliances and related accounting entries.
- Review GST reconciliations, tax workings and statutory returns.
- Coordinate with Tax Consultants on assessments, notices and other tax matters.
- Ensure timely resolution of statutory and tax-related issues.
1. Working Capital & Cash Flow Management
- Monitor Debtors, Creditors and Inventory and ensure effective working-capital management.
- Review receivables ageing, collections and customer outstanding positions.
- Monitor payables and payment commitments.
- Prepare and monitor cash-flow forecasts and provide regular liquidity updates to Management.
1. Banking, CMA & Lender Reporting
- Coordinate with Banks and Financial Institutions on routine banking and finance matters.
- Prepare CMA data, financial projections and lender MIS.
- Monitor loans, interest, repayments, securities and banking compliances.
- Coordinate documentation and financial information required by lenders and rating agencies.
1. Inventory & Manufacturing Finance
- Review inventory accounting, valuation and reconciliation.
- Monitor RM, WIP and Finished Goods across manufacturing locations.
- Review manufacturing costs, production variances and product / plant profitability.
- Analyse cost trends and identify areas for improved cost control.
1. Fixed Assets & Capital Expenditure
- Review Fixed Asset Register, capitalisation and depreciation.
- Monitor CWIP and capital expenditure.
- Ensure proper accounting and documentation of additions, disposals and transfers of fixed assets.
1. Exports & Foreign Exchange
- Review export sales, customer advances and foreign currency transactions.
- Monitor export receivables, realisations and forex accounting.
- Ensure appropriate accounting and reconciliation of export-related transactions.
1. Internal Controls & Team Management
- Strengthen internal financial controls, processes and accounting systems.
- Identify control gaps, accounting issues and process inefficiencies and drive corrective actions.
- Supervise, guide and review the Finance & Accounts team.
- Ensure accountability, timely completion of assignments and adherence to established processes.

- Continuous improvement in accounting, reporting and financial-control processes.
Mandatory Requirements
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
- Strong hands-on experience in financial accounting, MIS, taxation, audit, working capital and financial reporting.
- Good working knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax and Companies Act.
- Proven experience in Statutory Audit coordination and financial finalisation.
- Strong MS Excel and ERP skills.
