Job Title – Studio Manager Department of Media & Communication

Reporting Authority – Associate Dean – Academics Department of Media & Communication

- This position is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective use of the studio space and equipment, as well as providing support to faculty, staff, and students utilizing the studio for various academic and creative purposes. The Studio Manager also contributes to the planning and development of the studio's technical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities –

- Studio Operations:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the department studios.
- Schedule studio reservations and maintain a calendar of bookings.
- Ensure that all studio equipment and facilities are in working order.
- Supervise studio assistants and technicians.
- Oversee recordings of University events
- Technical Support:
- Provide technical assistance to faculty, students, and staff using the studio.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate repairs or maintenance when necessary.
- Train users on the proper use of studio equipment and software.




- Equipment Management:
- Manage inventory of multimedia equipment, including cameras, lighting, audio recording devices, and editing software.
- Coordinate equipment check-outs and returns.
- Monitor and recommend upgrades or recent acquisitions based on technological advancements.
- Studio Policies and Procedures:
- Develop and enforce studio policies and guidelines.
- Ensure the studio operates in compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain records of studio usage and equipment inventory.
- Bring in collaborations & facilitate industry visits
- Create opportunities for industry interactions for students
- Help in collaborations with industry
- Facilitate entry in media festivals/ competitions etc

Qualification & Experience –

- Bachelors in Media/Communications/Journalism/Filmmaking or quivalent from a reputed institution
- At least 10 years experience in the industry
