GCC – Manager/Senior Manager - Trans Compliance (Operations)
Job Title: Manager/Senior Manager - Trans compliance (Operations)
Business Line : Transportation Compliance
Shift Timings: 05:00 PM - 02:00 AM IST should be willing to work from office with global working windows
Base location: Hyderabad
:
- Maintain regular daily communication with team members through email and phone to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor and track team members’ day-to-day activities, providing guidance and support as required.
- Manage and monitor employees’ working hours and service schedules using internal tools.
- Coordinate with front-end hubs,
facilities and end-disposal locations to ensure operational continuity.
- Ensure trailers, transportation schedules and operational activities are planned and executed effectively.
- Prepare and manage daily and weekly operational plans for the team.
- Coordinate with HR, Transportation Compliance, H&S; and other stakeholders as required.
- Manage and support incident reporting, investigation and resolution.
- Review open requisitions, scheduled interviews and onboarding status of recent hires in coordination with HR/TA.
- Review and self-audit driver payroll, including company drivers and owner-operators, where applicable.
- Ensure payroll information is accurate and aligned with actual work completed; review and approve payroll-related items.
- Monitor employee training reports and follow up with team members on training completion, due dates and compliance requirements.
- Participate in daily/weekly conference calls covering freight, special projects, major facilities and other operational priorities.
- Conduct regular team meetings and communicate business priorities, operational updates and expectations.
- Monitor operational controls and ensure they are functioning effectively.
- Review FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and update it as required based on operational changes and identified risks.
- Identify operational issues, analyze root causes and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to operational, financial, compliance and safety requirements.
Responsibilities

- Experience in US OTR (Over-the-Road) trucking / transportation operations is preferred.

- Strong organizational, planning and time-management skills.
- Ability to prepare, interpret and analyze operational reports and provide meaningful insights.

Qualifications
While the role is positioned around Transportation & Logistics, the core requirement is an Operations qualified with strong People Management experience. Candidates from other domains may also be considered if they have:
- 12+ years of overall experience in Operations, Transportation & Logistics, Shared Services or a related operational environment.
- 2+ years of experience with accountability for financial KPIs/results – Required.
- 2+ years of experience managing a remote workforce supporting transportation, delivery, field operations or other service-based operations – Required.
- Experience managing remote teams across geographies such as the USA, Europe or other international markets is preferred.
- Postgraduate qualification/MBA, preferably in Transportation & Logistics, Operations or a related discipline.
- Strong operations management experience

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience handling KPIs, reporting and operational performance
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
Transportation/OTR experience will be preferred; however, it should not be the only screening criterion.
