Job Overview

The SAP MM Consultant will work closely with business users to understand requirements, identify system gaps, and design as well as implement effective SAP MM solutions. The role focuses on optimizing procurement and inventory management processes using SAP MM functionality.

An experienced SAP MM professional with exposure to SAP WM / EWM will have an added advantage.

Reporting Structure

- Reports to: Chief Manager – IT / General Manager – IT

Qualifications

- Graduate (BCA / B.Tech / BE / BSc Computers) with Postgraduate qualification preferred

- MCSE Certified

- SAP ECC or S/4 HANA (MM) Certification preferred

Experience Required

- 8–10 years of SAP MM experience

- Strong domain knowledge in Procurement; experience working in both ECC & S/4 HANA environments

- At least 3–4 end-to-end SAP MM implementation projects

- Good knowledge of SAP WM / EWM (preferred)

- Strong understanding of Special Procurement scenarios and GST impact in SAP MM

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Configure and support SAP MM module in ECC & S/4 HANA environments

2. Manage integration of MM with FICO, SD, PP, QM, and WM/EWM modules

3. Address GST-related configurations and compliance requirements

4. Provide ongoing SAP MM support, enhancements, and issue resolution

5. Identify, evaluate, and implement cost-effective system improvements

6. Plan and execute unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing

7. Prepare functional specifications and business requirement documentation

8. Coordinate end-user training and develop training documentation

9. Stay updated with trends and innovations in SAP MM

10. Continuously review SAP MM processes to identify improvement opportunities

11. Support project management activities including planning, scheduling, coordination, documentation, and process monitoring
