As of now the for the Insurance function includes the following:

1. Thorough knowledge of General insurance policies applicable to the business and Group Medical policies of the Company and the group;
2. Facilitating group companies for their insurance requirements and advising on policies applicable;
3. Maintenance of policy registers and ensuring adequate coverage for Insurance and timely payment of premium;
4. Co-ordination with the Personnel Department for ensuring coverage of recent employees and deletion of names of employees who have retired/resigned;
5. Co-ordination with Finance for premium payouts, especially in case of large sums;
6. Liaison with Insurance companies for timely delivery of policy documents.
7.



Negotiation with Insurance companies in obtaining quotations for policies;
8. Preparation of annual budget based on expected tariff and projections;
9. Liaison with user departments for any new projects, imports etc.;
10. Ensuring effective claim management.
11. Dealing with employees who have lodged claims under the Group Medishield Policy and handling critical claims efficiently.
12. Ensure monthly MIS in the above function, and timely escalation as may be necessary;
