Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to ensure the smooth and reliable operation of machinery, equipment, electrical systems, and other production assets in our furniture manufacturing facility. The candidate will be responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, breakdown handling, and minimizing machine downtime.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of furniture manufacturing machinery and equipment.
- Handle breakdowns and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
- Maintain and service machines such as CNC, edge banding, panel saw, drilling/multiboring, cutting, sanding, polishing and other woodworking machinery.
- Monitor machine performance and identify potential failures before breakdowns occur.
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules.
- Maintain proper records of breakdowns, repairs, spare parts, and maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with the Production Team to ensure minimum machine downtime.
- Maintain inventory of critical spare parts and coordinate for timely procurement.
- Ensure machines and equipment are maintained according to safety standards.
- Support installation, commissioning, shifting, and modification of machinery when required.




- Analyze recurring breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with external technicians and machine vendors for major repairs and servicing.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and safety practices in the maintenance area.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance.
- Knowledge of CNC and woodworking/furniture manufacturing machinery.
- Troubleshooting and breakdown-handling skills.
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of PLC, sensors, motors, VFDs, pneumatic and hydraulic systems will be an advantage.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to machine breakdowns.
- Valuable coordination and communication skills.

Qualification & Experience

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience in industrial/furniture/woodworking machinery maintenance preferred.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in furniture manufacturing machinery will be preferred.
