Network L2 Routing and Switching Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Network L2 Routing and Switching Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) using L2 routing and switching technologies. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of L2 protocols, including Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), VLANs, and trunking.

Responsibilities

- Design and implement L2 networks using Cisco, Juniper, or other network equipment
- Configure and troubleshoot L2 routing protocols, including STP, VLANs, and trunking
- Troubleshoot network issues and perform root cause analysis
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure network stability and performance




- Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams and configuration files
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in L2 routing and switching

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Networking, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in L2 routing and switching
- Strong understanding of L2 protocols, including STP, VLANs, and trunking
- Experience with Cisco, or other network equipment
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- CCNP certification and MPLs experience is mandatory
