About the Role

Ascend Digital is looking for a Link Building & Off-Page SEO Specialist to manage and execute off-page SEO campaigns across multiple client accounts.

This is a specialized role focused primarily on backlink research, prospecting, competitor analysis, outreach, and link acquisition.

We're looking for someone who doesn't just follow tasks, but can research, think critically, identify opportunities, and take ownership of results.

Responsibilities

- Conduct competitor backlink and link-gap analysis
- Research and qualify high-quality backlink opportunities
- Develop link-building strategies based on each client's industry
- Identify editorial, guest post, resource page, directory, association, partnership, and other relevant opportunities
- Evaluate prospects based on relevance, organic traffic, authority, backlink profile, and overall site quality
- Find relevant contacts and conduct personalized outreach
- Manage outreach follow-ups and publisher relationships
- Track acquired and lost backlinks
- Maintain organized prospecting and outreach records
- Report results, challenges, and recommended next steps
- Proactively identify current link-building opportunities





What We're Looking For

- 2 years of hands-on link-building/off-page SEO experience preferred
- Experience with Semrush and/or Ahrefs
- Strong competitor and backlink research skills
- Good understanding of backlink quality and spam signals
- Experience with email outreach and prospecting
- Good written English
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Independent problem-solving and critical thinking
- Comfortable receiving feedback and improving your approach

We prioritize quality and relevance over backlink volume. We're not looking for someone whose primary strategy is PBNs, spammy directories, bulk guest-post lists, or generic mass outreach.
