Role Description This full-time, on-site Life Insurance Agent role is based in Chennai.

The Life Insurance

Agent will meet with prospective and existing customers to understand their financial goals and protection needs, and recommend suitable SBI Life insurance products.

Responsibilities include explaining policy features and benefits, generating leads, following up on inquiries, completing applications, and ensuring accurate documentation in line with regulatory and company standards.



The role involves maintaining long-term client relationships, supporting customers through policy servicing and claims processes, and coordinating with branch staff and other stakeholders to meet sales and service targets.

The Life Insurance

Agent will also participate in training programs, market activities, and compliance initiatives to stay updated on products and industry regulations.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in Insurance Sales and Insurance, with the ability to understand and explain life insurance products clearly.
- Knowledge of Insurance Brokerage practices and Finance to assess customer needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Excellent Customer Service skills, including active listening, empathy, and timely follow-up with clients.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and long-term relationships.
- Basic proficiency in using digital tools and CRM or sales systems for lead management and documentation.
- Ability to work towards targets, manage time effectively, and operate within regulatory and ethical guidelines.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, commerce, or a related field; prior experience in insurance or financial services is an advantage.
- Comfort working on-site in Chennai and engaging with local customers and communities.
