Role Description The Legal Intern role at M.C. Pant & Associates is an on-site internship based in Uttarakhand, India. The intern will assist with legal research, case law analysis, and preparation of briefs, petitions, and other legal documents.

Daily tasks may include reviewing case files, drafting and formatting legal documents, supporting senior professionals in client meetings, and helping organize and maintain legal records. The intern may also accompany legal practitioners to court hearings or conferences, observe proceedings, and assist with follow-up documentation.



This role is designed to provide hands-on training in legal practice and professional communication.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Law and the ability to understand and interpret statutes, case law, and legal principles.
- Interest or prior exposure to Legal Consulting, including assisting in developing legal strategies and advisory notes.
- Experience or coursework in Legal Document Preparation, such as drafting petitions, contracts, opinions, and case summaries.
- Effective Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication with colleagues and clients.
- Ability to identify, analyze, and summarize Legal Issues in a structured and logical manner.
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a law degree (LL.B. or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under supervision.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and legal research tools; familiarity with online legal databases is an advantage.
- Demonstrated ethical conduct, professionalism, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced legal environment.
