Purposeof the Position:

Theposition is required to handle product-based litigations and handling customercomplaints where escalations are made to Legal Department. This position shouldalso ensure that all the legal rights of the Company are protected, legal risksof the Company are covered, legal compliances of the Company are dulycompleted, legal processes of the Company are managed, legal documentation ofthe Company are managed and recorded, properly.

KeyResponsibilities &Tasks;:

ProductLitigations

Independentlyhandling litigations including conducting analysis, evaluation and defense ofall legal dispute on behalf of the company at various courts, forums,tribunals, corporations, commissions and other judicial bodies that may berequired from time to time.

Ensuringthat Company is represented by capable lawyers for legal cases all over India.

Assistingin handling alternate dispute resolution including proceedings underarbitrations and mediations.

Briefingadvocates on records of the company before different courts, forums,authorities, etc., as required all over the country.

Attendinghearings and/or briefing advocates on records of the company before differentcourts, forums, authorities, etc. as required all over the country.

Independentlydrafting legal replies, para wise comments for products claims in co-ordinationwith various brands.

Assistingin developing the monthly reporting system and ensuring dissemination of thesame to the brands for inputs on legal cases.





Endeavouringand assisting the brands wherever required in reaching settlements in the casesfiled before various Forums or Courts involving disputes(s) and preparingnecessary documentation for the same.

Assistingin handling criminal complaints filed by customers, vendors, etc. before policeauthorities / criminal courts.

Activeparticipation with the police authorities and other investigating officersduring inquiry / investigations.

Oncase-to-case basis, advising on critical customer issues and vetting ofcommunications including Non-Disclosure Agreement to / with such customers.

General/ Miscellaneous

Analysisof the violation alleged in the notice received from the Legal Metrologydepartment and ensuring that the matter is resolved either through compoundingor through legal proceedings.

Co-ordinatingwith internal departments as well as consultants in connection with noticesreceived from the Legal Metrology department.

Liaisingwith Legal Metrology Department and filing of nominations.

Advisinginternal departments on the legal metrology topics.

Miscellaneous

Givingadvice to internal departments as may be required on a day-to-day basis forquick resolution of legal issues.

Handlingproduct marketing queries from business teams.

Discussingfinancial risks associated with litigations and legal cases with the StatutoryAuditors.

Independentlyhandle and advise as well as drafting of various contracts, agreements &other; legal documents, supervising agreement portal.

Supervisingand guiding legal intern, paralegal and officer legal activities. Get documentsfranked or notarized wherever required at the respective offices.

LegalMetrology Notices and Litigations.

Maintainand update litigation MIS.
