Position Summary
We are looking for a committed and knowledgeable Physics Faculty member to teach students in the PUC (11th & 12th Grade). The role involves delivering high-quality instruction, preparing students for board and competitive exams, and contributing to the overall academic growth of the department. The ideal candidate will combine strong subject expertise with effective teaching methodologies.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Academic Delivery
- Teach Physics to PUC I and II year students as per the prescribed syllabus.
- Deliver well-structured and engaging lectures with clear explanations of theoretical and numerical concepts.
- Use innovative teaching methods including demonstrations, visual aids, simulations, and experiments.
- Integrate real-life applications to enhance conceptual understanding.
Curriculum Planning & Execution
- Prepare detailed lesson plans aligned with the academic calendar.
- Complete syllabus within stipulated timelines without compromising quality.
- Design worksheets, assignments, and question banks for practice.
- Align teaching with board exam patterns and competitive exam standards (NEET/JEE foundation level).
Student Assessment & Performance Monitoring
- Conduct regular class tests, unit tests, and revision exams.
- Evaluate answer scripts and provide detailed feedback for improvement.
- Identify slow learners and provide remedial coaching.
- Track individual student performance and maintain progress reports.
Mentorship & Student Support
- Act as a mentor for assigned students and guide them academically.
- Address student doubts through regular doubt-clearing sessions.
- Motivate students to develop problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Provide guidance on exam strategies and time management.
Laboratory & Practical Management
- Assist in planning and conducting Physics practical sessions.
- Ensure proper usage and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Guide students in experiments, observations, and record writing.
Classroom Management
- Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment.
- Encourage active participation and interactive learning.
- Foster curiosity, scientific thinking, and academic integrity.
Administrative & Institutional Responsibilities
- Maintain attendance records, academic reports, and documentation.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and workshops.
- Collaborate with other faculty members for interdisciplinary learning.
- Support institutional initiatives, events, and academic programs.
Parent Interaction
- Communicate student progress to parents during meetings.
- Provide constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement.
Eligibility CriteriaEducational Qualification
- Master’s Degree (M.Sc.) in Physics – Mandatory
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of teaching experience in PUC / CBSE / ICSE / State Board / equivalent higher secondary level.
- Freshers with exceptional subject knowledge may also be considered (optional clause if needed).
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong conceptual knowledge of Physics across Mechanics, Electrodynamics, Optics, Modern Physics, and Thermodynamics.
- Excellent teaching, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to simplify complex topics for better student understanding.
- Strong numerical problem-solving skills.
- Classroom management and student engagement abilities.
- Familiarity with digital teaching tools (smart boards, PPTs, simulations).
- Solid interpersonal and mentoring skills.
- Time management and organizational capabilities.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
