Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lab Technician with a minimum of 3 years of relevant laboratory experience. The candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests, handling and processing samples, operating laboratory equipment, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Collect, receive, label, process, and handle laboratory samples as per established procedures.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and analyses accurately and efficiently.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Ensure proper sample identification, storage, and disposal.
- Record and maintain accurate test results, reports, and laboratory documentation.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality-control procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Monitor test results and promptly report abnormal or critical findings to the concerned supervisor.
- Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
- Maintain adequate stock of reagents, chemicals, consumables, and other laboratory supplies.
- Monitor reagent expiry dates and ensure proper storage conditions.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the laboratory.




- Assist with internal quality checks, audits, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of laboratory and biomedical waste.
- Coordinate with doctors, scientists, supervisors, and other departments as required.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient/sample information and laboratory reports.

Required Qualifications
- DMLT / BMLT / B.Sc. MLT / B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent relevant qualification.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Lab Technician.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, sample processing, and testing techniques.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Knowledge of quality-control and laboratory safety procedures.
- Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Basic computer skills; experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) is an advantage.
