Job Description

We are looking for an experienced PPIC professional with solid experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, production planning, demand forecasting, inventory management and supply planning.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare tri-monthly production plans considering WIP batches, demand forecasts, PS requirements and institutional indents.
- Manage production planning for multiple in-house and loan-licence manufacturing plants.
- Upload production plans in SCM software and monitor material shortages and material indenting.
- Coordinate with Commercial, SCM, Purchase and Stores teams for timely availability and delivery of API, RM and PM.
- Follow up with cross-functional teams for smooth production execution and timely batch release and dispatch.
- Coordinate with Production, QC, QA and BSR teams for timely production, release and dispatch of products.
- Monitor planning and supply of low-inventory products, PS requirements, institutional supplies and new product launches.
- Manage planning activities related to product transfers between manufacturing locations.
- Monitor and resolve issues impacting OTIF achievement.
- Prepare and analyze Plan vs. Achievement MIS, volume-wise and SKU-wise.
- Monitor reasons for FG non-delivery, low inventory and high inventory and prepare appropriate action plans.




- Prepare and monitor forecast accuracy reports and demand forecasting data.
- Monitor closing inventory against defined inventory policies.
- Prepare and maintain inventory policies for domestic products manufactured through in-house and loan-licence facilities.
- Coordinate with CQA, CQC and Site QC for timely implementation of IP amendments/revisions.
- Coordinate with plants and respective departments for MRP implementation.
- Monitor new product status, inventory status and products impacted by IP revisions.
- Ensure optimum inventory levels and timely availability of products as per business requirements.
- Drive effective coordination between Production, QA, QC, Commercial, SCM and manufacturing plants to ensure uninterrupted supply and timely dispatches.

Candidate Requirements

- 10-15 years of relevant experience in PPIC / Production Planning / Supply Planning within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong experience in production planning, demand forecasting and inventory management.
- Experience in planning for multiple manufacturing plants / in-house and loan-licence facilities.
- Strong knowledge of RM/PM planning, MRP, inventory policy and production scheduling.
- Experience in OTIF monitoring, MIS and forecast accuracy.
- Strong cross-functional coordination skills with Production, QA, QC, Commercial, SCM and manufacturing teams.
- Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing is mandatory.
