Job Summary The Jr. Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of assigned field teams involved in meter reading, meter replacement, consumer visits, revenue collection support, and other commercial field activities. The role will ensure effective manpower utilization, timely completion of assigned jobs, accurate field data, adherence to safety procedures, and proper documentation.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise assigned field teams and monitor their day-to-day field activities.
- Allocate and monitor meter reading, meter replacement, and other assigned commercial jobs.
- Plan daily routes and ensure optimum utilization of available field manpower.
- Conduct pre-verification of consumer, service connection, and meter details before field activities.
- Supervise meter replacement activities as per approved procedures and instructions.
- Verify old and current meter numbers, meter readings, meter condition, seals, and related details.
- Verify field photographs, GPS/location details, and job completion records for accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor the availability and proper utilization of meter replacement materials, tools, and field equipment.
- Coordinate with consumers during field visits and assist in resolving field-level issues.
- Monitor pending, failed, inaccessible, rejected, and rescheduled jobs and ensure timely follow-up.
- Coordinate with field personnel for closure of pending and unsuccessful activities.
- Monitor daily attendance, field deployment,



productivity, and achievement against assigned targets.
- Ensure field personnel properly use mobile applications and digital field reporting systems.
- Support revenue collection and other commercial field activities as assigned by the reporting manager.
- Ensure field teams follow prescribed safety procedures, PPE requirements, and work instructions.
- Maintain accurate field records, job sheets, consumer details, meter details, and other required documentation.
- Prepare and submit daily field activity reports, productivity reports, pending-job reports, and MIS.
- Identify operational, technical, consumer, or manpower-related issues during field activities.
- Escalate unresolved or critical issues to the Senior Engineer / Project Manager for further action.
- Coordinate with Senior Engineers and other project personnel to ensure smooth execution of daily field operations.

Qualification & Experience

- Qualification: Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience: 24 years of relevant experience in electrical distribution, meter replacement, meter reading, commercial operations, utility projects, or field operations.
- Experience in electricity distribution / power utility projects will be preferred.
- Candidates with experience in supervising field teams and managing meter-related activities will be preferred.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Basic knowledge of electrical distribution, electricity meters, meter reading, and meter replacement activities.
- Good understanding of field operations and workforce supervision.
- Ability to plan routes and allocate jobs effectively
