Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Head of IT / Technology to lead our technology function and drive the evolution of our IoT platform, enterprise applications and cloud infrastructure.

The role requires a combination of technology leadership, architecture, hands-on technical understanding and people management. The candidate will be responsible for building scalable, secure and high-performance IoT solutions while leading engineering teams and driving the company's technology roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

Technology & Architecture

- Own and drive the overall technology roadmap aligned with business objectives.
- Design and evolve scalable IoT, cloud and SaaS architectures.
- Lead modernization of existing .NET-based applications.
- Drive migration toward .NET Core/.NET 6+, microservices and cloud-native architecture.
- Establish architecture standards, coding standards and technology governance.
- Evaluate new technologies, platforms and tools.

IoT Platform

- Experience designing or managing systems involving IoT devices, telemetry and real-time data processing.
- Understanding of device-to-cloud communication and protocols such as MQTT, HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP.
- Experience with IoT device management, data ingestion, processing and monitoring.
- Design scalable architectures capable of handling large volumes of device data.
- Understanding of edge computing and cloud-based IoT architectures would be highly valuable.

Cloud & DevOps





- Strong experience with AWS or Azure.
- Exposure to AWS IoT / Azure IoT services is preferred.
- Drive CI/CD, Docker/containerization and infrastructure automation.
- Establish production monitoring, logging, alerting and observability.
- Ensure availability, scalability and performance of production systems.

Engineering Leadership

- Lead and mentor engineering/development teams.
- Establish development processes, code review practices and release management.
- Drive engineering quality, productivity and reduction of technical debt.
- Hire, develop and retain technology talent.
- Define team structures and responsibilities.

Security & Governance

- Establish application, cloud and IoT security practices.
- Ensure appropriate access control, authentication, encryption and data protection.
- Drive technology governance, backup/recovery and business continuity practices.
- Manage technology risks and production incidents.

Business & Stakeholder Management

- Work closely with the founders/management and business teams.
- Translate business requirements into technology strategy.
- Manage technology budgets, vendors and external technology partners.




- Provide regular updates on technology roadmap, risks and major initiatives.

Required Technical Experience
- 10–15+ years of software/technology experience.
- Strong experience with C#, ASP.NET, Web API and .NET Core/.NET 6+.
- Strong SQL Server experience including performance tuning, indexing, stored procedures and query optimization.
- Experience with REST APIs, microservices and distributed systems.
- 3–5+ years of engineering/team leadership experience.
- 3+ years of cloud experience with AWS or Azure.
- Experience with CI/CD, Git and Docker.
- Experience with high-performance and scalable systems.
- Strong understanding of production support and system monitoring.

Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech/MCA in Computer Science, IT or related field.
- AWS/Azure certification preferred.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
