Chara Technologies is a Bengaluru-based deep-tech startup building rare-earth-free electric motors and controllers for EVs and industrial applications, serving customers like Godrej and Greaves Cotton.

About the Role

This is a 6-month Sales & Business Development internship based in Bengaluru, giving you hands-on exposure to B2B sales in the EV and industrial motor space. You'll work directly with customers - visiting them, following up on enquiries and orders, and coordinating internally across Sales, Engineering, Finance and Operations to keep things moving. It's a great starting point for anyone who wants real field-sales experience rather than a desk-only internship, with a solid potential to convert into a full-time role.

What You Will Do

1. Engage with existing and potential customers and maintain regular follow-up on enquiries, orders and ongoing discussions
2. Visit customers regularly,



including spending time at their locations to understand issues and help close pending actions
3. Coordinate with customers on pending payments and support collection follow-ups (working closely with the Finance team, who own the actual transaction)
4. Identify new business opportunities and develop customer leads within your assigned region
5. Maintain visit reports and sales trackers, and coordinate internally with Sales, Engineering, Finance and Operations for customer requirements

What We're Looking For

1. MBA/BBA/Engineering student or recent graduate from any academic background - open to any degree
2. Comfortable travelling regularly to meet customers (public transport is fine, no vehicle required)
3. Good communication and follow-up skills, self-driven and organised
4. Willing to work closely with customers and internal teams to close pending actions
5. Interest in EV, automotive or industrial products is a plus, but not mandatory
